  1. 1 star, not enough Frank Wilson
  2. maybe overplayed but i guarantee we all slapped on a copy of Do I Love You when we saw the news.....looking forward to hearing the reception at Saturday's 100 Club anniversary. thanks for the great music Frank, RIP
  3. just played mine......marvellous stuff
  4. great night at the Xmas party, judging by some missing wooden floor tiles they had given up on maintenance for a bit but at least the 4 red light bulbs were still working to give that special atmosphere we all know & love. The new "no drinks on the dancefloor" signs certainly stopped the usual Xmas puddles. Business as usual....
  5. he may not realise its value but i am gonna tell him
  6. especially when he says "THIS VERY RARE 7" NORTHERN SOUL" so they seem to know its worth something then "WHAT A RARE BARGAIN STARTING AT ONLY 2.99 !!!!".....why not start it at £299 & get it noticed !!!
  7. i bid very low on this then forgot about it until i got an email saying it sold for £366, surely this is >£1,000 or am i missing something here. I dont believe there are good boots of Mala perhaps its simply that it got missed due to listing it as "Wipe Away Your Tears" not "Competition" https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370350339016&ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT Steve
  8. sure, as someone who has every anniversary 7' i realise thats one of the joys that they are definately a limited small run & eventually supply dries up & thats why i dont bother buying reissues for £10-15 when they will be worth less in future. Better to buy one disc for £100 than 10 for £10 i say. Anyhow what price Chuck Jackson (6T 8) if Carla T worth 4* what it was a year ago :-)
  9. Carla Thomas (12th) just gone for £113 on Ebay....silly, i am sure that used to come up a lot & worth £30 max. Melba Moore (5th) £55 is going up too.
  10. usually the first copy post anniversary night goes for a high value eg £80 then as more come on the price settles down to £50-70 then sellers dry up after a couple of weeks. As long as Ady doesnt put a CD out with the B-sides these will retain their demand & i think actually releasing a CD highlights their quality & could see more collectors of the whole series. The 100 club feels like Xmas on the night with everyone walking round clutching the free pressie. Ebay disc currently £31 with 3 days to go.
  11. UK Doctor Bird in "very good condition" "plays with some background noise" just gone for £275 on Ebay.
  12. should be great, cant wait. Good grief i hope its not as hot as last year, i had to spend the whole night trying to defend my piece of the beautiful pre-historic wooden dance floor so that i could be under the air condition unit...."i am melting.....melting". Steve
  13. stumbled across this , fantastic track (100 club crowd would love it) but as I am not so good on 70s I'm not sure who it is...anyone help me out. Cheers https://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kdv2nPDuL4
  14. i'm a dullard, been monitoring on Ebay so the range of prices i've given is as good as you get. Which do you disagree with ?
  15. i have followed the prices of these for sometime as I have slowly bought the ones I didnt get by attending.. £90-110 Chuck Jackson £80-90 The Magicians £60-70 on a good day ...Milton Bennett, Hytones, Peggy Gaines (used to be cheap), Lorraine Chandler ...can be £40 if you are lucky £30-40 John Edwards, M&M Peanuts, Platters, Sharon Scott (as high as £60 as low as £30) £15-30 Mill Evans, Fabulous Impact, Debra Johnson, Junior McCants, Melba Moore, Johnny Taylor, Carla Thomas, Peggy Woods, Devonnes, Sammy Ambrose, Mary Love £5 -10 (same print run as "Candle In The Wind") Wall Cox, Teardrops, Phil Terrill my guess is the whole lot is worth £800
