Yeh I know Brent.... seen him a few times when on his visits to see Martin Dixon who now lives in Rotherham but is from Sheffield.... Remember all the clubs you mentioned.... plus they had a few dayers at what was then called Romeos & Juliettes.... Northern one side and Jazz Funk the other.... plus similar dayers at what was called Top Rank/Steeleys.... New Romantic scene was big in Sheffield as quite a few bands of that time were from Sheffield.... Pass my regards on to Brent.... tell him we'll have a beer on his next visit back "oop norf"....

Engine may have been in front Kenneth.... Steve might have just had a "dicky" exhaust towards back meaning he pumped fumes in to us and the noise made me think engine was in back.... VW beetle sounding .... remember the jeans .... didn't have a pair though.... also their cafe, Strads (same name as their TV and electrical shop).... had that Northern Soul jukebox in .... talking of cars seem to remember Adrian had one of them three wheeler things for a while which is why Steve's was used .... I'd stick with the "don't know" shute.... maybe thinks he's doing someone a favour with "buy it now" prices under the guide price.... If he knew and was trying it on, to me he'd just stick them up without a "buy it now" option and a "reserve" and hope some buyers will not know and go for them in a bidding war based on the descriptions.... then plead ignorance when buyer found out otherwise and wanted money back.... It's a boot Shute.... According to Ovenchip's boot guide.... boots are on styrene in either yellow or pink labels.... originals are multi-coloured (pale blue, red and black lettering)....

Marvin Holmes & Justice - styrene and vinyl.... According to Ovenchip's it wasn't booted.... just an issue on each.... I too thought the styrene was a boot.... same reason as above.... the sound appears "low".... So who's to say Ovenchip's knows best on this one .... Remains one of them "is it or isn't it" questions I suspect unless anybody else can shed some light on it....

The last one he auctioned fetched £200ish.... I'd have said anywhere between £100-150 in the real world.... depening where you look....
