Always has and always will be the way of record prices Jamie.... someones always paid "less" than you or me for a sound.... depends when it was got as it's all relative and somewhat like "budget rises" over time mate.... Even the "cheapies" go up.... the £2-£7 price range for records of years ago became £5-13, then £8-20 and now £10-40.... so summat got for say £4 back then can sell for £40 now so has moved on ten fold.... yeh! you get the "big ticket" or "in demand" things of today that have what seems like "ongoing budget rises" but on the whole it remains relative.... I'm thinking more generally of the £20 records back then, quite big bucks in relation to wages, being around £200 now.... To me in general, as stated before by other people, a record is worth what the buyer is willing to pay for and the seller is willing to accept.... you can still get your "bargain" but you can still pay "a little bit more" for a major want....

Heard it was for sale though.... not closure.... anyone know or confirm....

Put the above reply in the "sales" bit of forum and got to thinking.... so asking opinions here.... Why is it assumed/thought that if Manship's guide doesn't show something, as in there being an Intertains ISSUE with the "Need Your Love" flip, then one perhaps doesn't exist as shown in "write up" for sales bit here.... I know knowledgable folk on here may know of such instances but just thinking about other peeps who use the guide to find out about tracks, labels, etc., of certain records.... Also.... just wondering how many more cases like this occur within the guide that can lead to a misconception ....

INTERTAINS Glad I Found You - I've Gotta Find Out For Myself - Uptown 729 Glad I Found You - Need Your Love (Right Now) - Uptown 729 DJ ....and lists them both at £200.... BUT.... I've got an ISSUE with the "Need Your Love" B-side.... so it shows not all in guide is correct .... Not a dig at you yourself mate .... just pointing out the ISSUE exists contrary to what JM's guide indicates ....

Wrighty.... when posting before re surcharging for PayPal fees should have mentioned that sellers try to get around this by hiking up their postage fees .... could this be the case here :angry: .... seems to be ....

Totally true Rach.... once had a "request" for 10% "extra" if was paying by PayPal .... told seller to bollox and included this link in reply.... SEE HERE.... he apologised stating he didn't know about this and accepted with no "extra" bit as it can't be imposed.... if accepting PayPal then you accept the charges yourself IMO.... don't like it then don't use it.... simple....

Why not just wait until "seller" puts up feedback first.... then you can leave what you want without effecting your feedback .... if they don't leave any then don't leave any yourself to avoid any retaliation type feedback.... a few missed feedbacks to your total is hardly worth worrying about .... and like said before, you can e-mail future high bidders with your experience if you choose to.... personally wouldn't bother though as would have better things to do than "trail" a sellers items ....
