  1. .... Have I just read what I've read.... maybe overplayed in some places, yes.... maybe reactivated in others, yes.... but no matter what the score you can't escape the fact that it is a "class tune".... or is it the "cost" that gets some people .... the "if I can't afford it then it's crap" point of view .... f*** the "value" that's only between a buyer and seller.... it's what's in the grooves thatt's counts.... £5 or £5000 .... And this "has it" in the grooves ....
  2. Agree with you on "Lost Love" Mark ....
  3. Not really Marc.... probably to be expected.... or not expected ....
  4. Could be a few more Janine as off for two weeks so there'll be one or two "afters sessions" and no doubt will forget "note to self" ....
  5. Seems that people are asking the question direct about this one.... there's now a response of sorts on there.... SEE HERE.... plus postage now added of £19 .... Looks like somebody's not convinced with answer as their bid is now retracted.... personally, I'm "still on the fence" because piccies have been used before BUT to not write your own description, especially the grading, cause your "lazy".... mmmm.... Have sent following to be convinced .... ---------------- Dear minicarsandtoys, I see you've put an answer on the eBay page about having the record.... to borrow a piccy is one thing.... but to not write your own title, description and especially grading.... plus state about borrowing a piccy like other sellers do when done same.... this causes a lot of concern especially as page is identical to one recently legitimately sold.... search for item number 4717140302 under finished items in advanced search.... you'll see what I mean.... still personally not convinced mate and also see someone wasn't with their bid retraction.... usually a buyer I see from feedback but now first and only sale of a rare soul record, mmmm.... all dance/trance sales record wise previously.... awaiting a convincing reply.... ---------------- Will let you know of response .... if any ....
  6. .... you do know 4+4=5 in my house Steve .... well that's my excuse mate apart from the fact I've been in "ale house" last 3 hours and it's taking me an age to type at the mo .... Apologies going your way mate .... p.s. note to self.... read the f**** threads properly before replying .... end of note ....
  7. Not sure Pete.... that's why I asked in the first place.... still don't really know as answers don't relate to that.... I'd be interested to know because a mate of mine wants to "go for it" but isn't yet until he's sure.... in fact it was him that sent me the link to the "new sale" asking if kosher.... told him I'd try to find out and wouyld let him know.... Anybody know if kosher or a scam .... would love to think UK sellers haven't started doing things like a few in the US "a la Gene Toones" ....
  8. So it's YOU who should read the thread properly .... mind you it's a bit late in the day for you to be "online" .... unless you've now got a PC at home now or you're "working late" .... Luv you bro ....
  9. I read it, Steve, as Janine asking for a finishing price on Ed Bruce on JM's auction and Steve replying with a price in $$$$'s.... so was querying the $$$$'s answer when JM deals in ££££'s.... if I've missed summat then I'm a twat .... if not then couldn't understand the "der" bit .... Sod it.... summat to eat and a re-read of full full thread for me ....
  10. .... what's "der" about that post Steve.... the guy's quoting $$$$'s for JM's auctions when they're all done in ££££'s.... If it's £500 then it's well overpriced for Ed Bruce - I'm Gonna Have A Party (Wand) but not perhaps a JM auction.... if it's $500 (£275) then it's quite cheap for a normal JM auction....
  11. Sorry Steve.... but I always thought Manship's auctions were in ££££'s anyway.... unless he's now on the dot-com US sites as well and has linked it to his dot-co-dot-uk (a la ebay).... So is that 500 in ££££'s or $$$$'s.... ....
  12. Think it's a case of never "really reading" e-mail contents.... often think they catergorise the subject headers and then issue a pre written response .... have had what appear pre written responses that were nowt to do with initial query.... but obviously picking from their list of "subjects" determines the response you get even if "content" not addressed.... so definately "crap" like you say .... As for action.... account not yet closed but that'll probably be the action when they don't get their fees ....
  13. But I'm betting they wait until after trying to claim their fee before "appropriate action" is taken ....
  14. Never mind Godz.... you can always remove it yourself and pick the "entered wrong ammount" option as your reason ...
  15. You beat me too it Steve.... If he "deletes" bids manually he'll get charged at the "high bid" rate he leaves if don't remove all.... if he ends it early I think he gets charged the "set" listing fee for what he entered it at, i.e. starting price cost, min bid cost, etc., etc., ....
  16. Just tried bidding over $100,000,000 Tubbs and it's saying "can't do".... like Brett said in an earlier post.... eBay must have a "max" limit of $99,999,999 as it wont let you do owt.... comes back saying "enter US $100,000,099.00 or more" but when you do you just get the same message .... Ah well.... was fun whilst it lasted.... now to see if "seller" deletes all bids before he gets lumped with a hefty eBay cost .... not that he'll pay like ....
  17. Take it your lass just drinks tea .... otherwise I know you'd have had it ....
  18. Ey up Brett.... not seen you online for a few days.... been busy with the old "paint tins" mate .... glad your back ....
  19. Who says we're wasting our time Tubbs.... you've let us know what your doing so your snipe might be wasted .... As told a mate on phone earlier.... surely the nob head as realised that "we know summat" else he'd have pulled it .... obviously not ....
  20. How about "opening a book" on what it'll finish at .... I'll have £10,000 on $150,000,000+ (£80,000,000+) ....
  21. Probably the cost of a Frank Wilson plus a few more ....
  22. Sorry Godz .... how could I forget that bit ....
  23. Now $95,000,000+ (£50,500,000+) .... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=4719337861 Somebody really wants this "authentic rarity" ....
  24. ....
