  1. Lost it now Kev.... meant do summat smaller when you first put up the link.... Shute's eBay link Sorted for you mate, big and bright ....
  2. Working here Kev .... looks like you copied the link on both bits.... put summat shorter like "eBay sales" on second bit.... it still works but without the full URL showing....
  3. Speed ????.... would that be the BPM of the track Pete ....
  4. Have another window with your eBay page.... right click and "copy" that from the "address bar".... hit the https:// button when writing post in SS window.... "paste" link into first bit and hit OK.... then "put what you want" in second bit and hit OK again.... done....
  5. Got visitors Mark .... language a bit tame today .... Anyway.... I'm sure Brett would relish the chance of joining you in any bar scenes .... and Shane, with his unique collection of shirts and tops, could be advisor with the wardrobe department ....
  6. Hope that doesn't include falling off anything Mark .... like a stool .... P.S. hope the foots on the mend
  7. It's on ESPIRIT 2100....
  8. Wasn't it a name used by the snooker player Jimmy White for a bit ....
  9. Don't know it so couldn't comment Pete.... it's where it's listed and it's description as "Northern Soul" that drew my attention ....
  10. Was but a gentle reminder Dave .... not that you'd forget after a fair few summer boozy nights ....
  11. Surely you gotta air it out at Middleton first Andy .... a deffo floor filler for you me thinks ....
  12. Hope you get the right venue(s) Andy.... months aren't the same without Soultown or Lifeline to look forward too .... even if I had to have Shane and his sales box as passengers .... Just to repeat.... agree whole heartedly on this issue where niters like what you run are concerned.... but soul nites are a different entity and a different type of paying punter all with an idea of what they want.... one feeds the other IMO for getting people to progress/move on to a more specific type of venue with a room for differing genres after hearing them all (sometimes) in one room.... Tek care ....
  13. Put this link on another thread.... thought I'd add it here "for comments" .... ---------------- Check this out .... https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...4740206503&rd=1 What the f*** ....
  14. I did mate .... And that means us "dee-dahs" wont be there then ....
  15. NO they don't .... I've ALWAYS had first "dibs" on doing the "thingy" bit .... you all know that .... Davey's now having *dibs* on the *star* bits instead ....
  16. Does this mean I can check your box when your on at our Ponds Forge do on the 8th July .... and when your not looking slip in summat/owt that should'nt be there then after hanging you keep the said box .... NO .... ah well.... I'll agree with you on the "nearly every DJ doing the rounds" response then Dave
  17. Just catching up on thread so no "personal attacks" meant.... just answering selected posts "on topic" Totally agree with you Andy on this .... especially at a "niter" venue.... something on offer for all us "nocturnals" .... personally think "soul nites" are a different thing.... hence reply to next post.... As said for "niters" I'd agree.... presume your on about niters.... but have to disagree here though Andy if meaning "soul nites" as well, and I don't really think you are but it's got me thinking.... "local" soul nite "one roomed" events have to cater for "everyone" at the end of the day otherwise people wouldn't come back.... our nite is a "one roomed" event and we put "accross the board" on our flyers to indicate it ain't just "the same old same old", an excuse "to cover our backs" or "to apologise for what you might hear".... but neither are we adverse to "playing" what the "punters" ask for if the DJ's got it and is asked for it and it fits in with how the night is running then it's a goer in my view.... sometimes a soul nite can be "too many oldies" to some, "too much crossover" to others, "one to many modern" to some, "more underplayed" to others and of course the old chestnut of "not enough of ~~~~ (put what you like here) to anyone else.... we've been going 5 years and I "still" get these comments.... usually from the same people and their mates.... but I've learnt to think "f*** it".... as these people still come month after month.... prety much the "you can't do right for doing wrong" aspect of things IMHO.... when you've only got one room for the nite with a multitude of ideas of what "should" be played then you do what the nite appears to be demanding.... we've had successful nites of the non traditional stuff.... also more traditional stuff.... depends on "the floor" on any particular night.... Tottally agree on this where "soul nites" are concerned.... not neccessarily "niters" if they have the rooms as said in last bit.... but then again I'm easily pleased and brought up (dragged up ) on a "one roomed" niter that was Clifton Hall after my first few Wigan and other places visits.... What really pisses me off is when a niter/soul nite has say 2 rooms, northern and modern, and a guest DJ booked for both does his "modern room" spot THEN comes downstairs/moves rooms/whatever and proceeds to "carry on" playing his/her "older modern" in the "northern" room thinking it's what "we" want and carries on for a few even when the floor empties.... and I've seen/heard a few "big names" do this.... As said.... niter NO cause people travel to hear what they believe is being advertised.... "soul nite" YES cause of the "wider" sprectrum of visitors/punters likely to be present cause at the end of the day everyone "wants" to hear something they wanted/hoped they would hear.... horses for courses and one man's poison is anothers pleasure and all that.... Just an opinion and all that.... like an arsehole we've all got one .... now I need a beer ....
  18. Treble from most boxes/lists I've seen it ....
  19. Be nice to know "who's" posting .... unless of course you've got a personal gripe with Drax or it's promoters and are using this forum to do so behind the safety of a psuedonym "username" .... Who are you, where are you from and where do you go.... most new members introduce themselves first rather than diving in with two "ranting" posts....
  20. It dissapeared at Clifton Hall (Rotherham) Ged.... a much more open minded appreciation of the music.... seemed to set the trend for Stafford to carry on in that vein ....
  21. Agreed.... I believe we've discussed this myth many a time Steve.... we doing it again.... I seem to remember we weren't knocking Stafford.... it had it's place like all venues.... just the fact that "sounds" associated (wrongly) with the place were in fact played out first, in many instances, elsewhere....
  22. Large run out on boots for one Kenny.... and, secondly, according to Manship's guide originals have 7-11-a (prp 17521) 161 in dead wax....
  23. I know you know .... was just stating the obvious .... Like you say.... the man's got taste ....
  24. Always recommended good stuff did Andy... in fact still recommending records Chalky.... and mostly "gud uns" too .... always try and "chat" with him about these when able to .... if you know what I mean ....
  25. Certainly was/is Shane .... Glad you managed to pick one up Rachel .... And so there's both scans on thread.... here's the Alteen....
