Yea.... Alan Middleton's shop Shane.... admit was better when in Castle Market instead of some side street up West Street away from the city centre where it is now.... Also remember Record Collector in Broomhill having one or two nice tunes years ago.... best thing about this one was it was 100% vinyl in the middle of the student area and they weren't bothered about the soul boxes so it was pretty much free pickings.... it's still there but seems to be mainly CD's now like it was the last time I popped in for a look round about 7-8 years ago .... And can we foget Violet May's just off The Moor.... stood outside early Saturday mornings waiting for the delivery off their latest imports.... except that one time when they were delivered either the Friday night or early Saturday before it opened and some guy(s) nicked the box.... we had loads of copies of James Coit - Black Power (Phoof) on sale for weeks after that at the KGB and other local nights .... There was a couple more as well that I can't recall the names of....

Referring to "red" bit.... then why not offer on here first and then on eBay if not sold .... Not being funny mate BUT how many times have we read on here in threads/posts about the "annoyance" of an eBay seller, usually a USA one, doing what I've highlighted above .... in their case they get an e-mail "offer" and "pull it" rather than "advertise" the fact their "willing" to do it.... To me.... if it's on eBay it should "ride the course" of its time on there.... it's been put on there to sell by auction.... whether it goes for a lot or goes cheap.... DON'T let us "brits" start "yanking stuff off" (no pun intented) just cause "we think" we're gonna get a better deal "off list" .... The usual "guided" eBay message of summat like "the seller has removed the item because it was listed incorrectly" OR summat else like that is b*ll*x .... this is where "eBay rules" get "overlooked" by eBay themselves.... there should be "once listed can't remove" penalties OR a "can't remove (full stop)" policy.... If you want a "set sale price/offer" list as such on here or eBay ("buy it now" comes to mind).... or if you're taking a chance on a "big bidder" seeing it on eBay (like Manship's) then do that and stick to it .... SIMPLE IMVFHO.... All my very own humble opinion of course based on the "quoted bit" not the "poster" as this just "grates" on me ....

Hi Billy.... Soulclub.org....> HERE <.... does do that occasionally as you say.... the "A" to "Z" at the top only sorts the tunes alphabetically to make it easier no navigate the database.... As you state.... scrolling down on the "home" page still gets you to that "song" you're looking for .... Noticed you've mentioned "Vault of Soul" which I thank you for as it's part of my site.... this makes me feel slightly .... because you've actually made me realise that all I've done over the last 6-8 months is record numerous records and scan their labels to my PC.... not even thought about transferring them to RealAudio or "clipping" the labels into RealPix so as to build the Real files needed making them into a joint "streaming" file to come through over the web.... Still got loads to do for web space allowed.... think I can get 800+ tunes with labels on site.... BUT will have to get my finger out and upload when done some rather than wait to upload "loads" at one go which is what I thought about doing in time.... Sh*t.... work to be done now .... but soon ....

And where is the "All About Soul" moderator Steve when you need them .... p.s. The "mod" could always change the Topic Header to match the thread as done quite regularly recently ....
