Forgot about the Travellers completely .... But I've now also remembered (brain shot) Ray and Alan doing the old Robin Hood pub around the corner before Take Two.... As a "younger man" than myself Joe I knew you'd put me correct on all this .... Your probably only nearly 2/3 "fuddled" but I'm over 1/2 .... Cheers pal .... Missed the bit about the "Chapel" nighter.... old church, church hall and other rooms as I recall.... that place had quite a few people walking around outside thinking "this can't be it, surely".... me and the lads I went with too.... for about 10 mins or so "finding" the door.... as you said "one cracking night"....

Yeh.... he had Spin City Records in Sheffield's Castle Market for ages.... always had the "Northern" boxes on show on the shelf.... trick was to ask him for his "Special Boxes" that were under the counter .... He then moved the shop to some road, of which the name escapes at the moment, running between West Street and Division Street.... think his "partner" has that one alone now though I may be completely wrong as I haven't been in for a few years now....

I knew Ray Hudson also.... did Canklow (rotherham) after and then Empress Rooms (Mexborough).... or again was it the other way round they ran .... Anyway.... seem to remember Alan Millington, and was it one or two others, were also part of Take Two with Ray....

Was gonna add "British Club Soul" and "Northern" for the room descriptions musically on the flyers Joe but then thought "was that there or somewhere else" .... it gets harder to recall all the details of places as you get older ....

Another "forgotten" venue that past a lot of people by.... Two rooms on most events, or was it all of them .... Can't remember which way round it was but one room had a built in dance floor (think upstairs) and the other (downstairs) had hardboard taped together, and to the floor around the edges, to stop it "moving" .... I'm sure "sh*t holes" like this that were "ambiant in its day" would be slated on here these days .... Great in its day.... Happy memories.... Think it did start earlier as "soul nites" but then after it "took off" the allnighters "were allowed".... also have memories of "soul nites" happening on some occasions inbetween the "allnighters".... memory "foggy" ....

Depends on the length of growth on us chins at the time or how far shut us eyes were... .... Wasn't actually aware that "sum" came from the "label owner" as you say.... or that wouldn't be that old chestnut of "vynilcarvers" with a "photostat" stuck on would it .... Reminds me of that "lil old peddler" chap on evil bay ....

I was just begining to try and cope with the "detox" Mike over the 2 days or so.... clicks in my favorites getting less frantic,etc., with that "b*oll*cks" thought you get in your head when "it still ain't working" .... Then you go and f*ck it all up and get it back online.... back to square one for the next time .... Now I'm p*ss*d off that I found SS to be back more than 12 hours after it was.... due to visit to pub and then some sleep last nite cuz of nowt else to do .... Sean appears to have logged off Ian so I'll reply to you.... That is Sean's purpose built cellar/basement room that he uses for his vast, nay immense, record collection.... unfortunately it became a "victim" of the flooding we had here in Sheffield a few months back.... He posted a few more piccies on a "flood" thread at the time if I remember correctly.... Very, very sad to see.... Can't believe Sean's still waiting for the insurance to make an offer.... never mind not paid out yet ....
