  1. Usually on Styrene 45s from the ABC label group - they obviously crack when being drilled. Early west coast Tamla releases have NR in black marker on them as well...
  2. Yep, it's a touch on the 'heavy' side...
  3. I have an excellent Kent copy available. Manships UK Book price is £30/$45 Make me an offer of what you want to pay including shipping - you can do it in dollars if you want.
  4. Well that ties Smokey Smothers in with the Lee Shot Williams Gamma, but doesn't explain the completely different design label - mid 70s looking to my eyes.
  5. I might still have a U.S. issue of Tightrope, can't remember selling it when I picked the demo up....
  6. The Smokey Smothers is a different design label, which points to it not being the same label at all....
  7. If you get in touch with these - /Gotta-W...kco#entry441600 They should be able to run you up some limited edition 'Torch' ones...
  8. Funnily enough, since buying a demo in the States last month, Ive now got a mint issue available - if you can pick it up from the Red House do in Sheffield it's yours for £25
  9. Same mix as the RSO release?
  10. Is this the original complaing about counterfeit bootleg threads, or is it a facsimile?
  11. Have done at the past - albeit unwittingly - but felt dirty afterwards....
  12. If that's the case why are there hundreds of records out there that his for the first few seconds only? If it was due to incorrect weight, then they would hiss all the way through?
  13. Mental. I've got a VG copy, and was offered £60 for it last week... very nearly snatched there hand off until I thought about trying to replace it for a reasonable price...
  14. I'd want no less than £200 for a copy if i were to get one for sale. I like Billy Pauls version just as much - shame it wasn't issued on a 45.
  15. There seems to be a Tarpon copy on eBay every other week (usually clattered). I've got it on both, and I'd say the Chess copy is definately much rarer.
  16. I'll let it pass at three figures.... a nice oddity, but not looking to buy anything pricy at the moment. Stick it up on eBay, and I might stick a few $s on it.
  17. Never seen one....
  18. "Your love for him, is like my love for you" The Four Tracks.
  19. Tarpon (the original release label) is one of the writers - Billy 'The Kid' Emerson - label. Every other release I've come across on the label is by him - so there's a fair chance he cut a guide vocal at least...
  20. No problem... I'd probably prefer the issue, as I've got the demo of the other release, but either would suit me, price permitting.
  21. As posted above - I think you're right about my copy having "It's Spring" on the flip... I'm definately interested in your spare copy.
  22. Thinking about it, my copy might have a different flip... If so I'd be interested in your spare as a Mar-V-Lus/One-derful collector....
  23. Yep, Play "You Know I've Tried" out every so often... mines a WD, if that's any use to you....
  24. No US or UK 45 issue for this track... it came off a UK cheapo budget 'Top Of The Pops' type LP. Cover features a picture of a Discotheque, with suitably attired 'chick' on the cover.
  25.
