  1. Oldschoolwillie? is that another ID for Kenard3? seem to remember his name was Willie.
  2. Seem to remember that Network 7 was a Sunday morning 'yoof' arts program from the early 90s... but my memory was a bit out....it was from 1987 - 1988 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_7_(TV_series)
  3. Be careful, this was reissued on the same number in the UK. First issue is the Orange label.
  4. Ray Williams was covered up in the late 80s/early 90s (I think it was Johnny Guitar Watson) - and I'm reliably informed was sold as such for approx £300 for a VG- copy. Very few have turned up since - i know of only 4 issue copies (including the original C/U), most of which were/are with R&B room DJs, and are around VG/VG+ condition. I sold my mint- issue for £500 a couple of months back. Suprised someone like Warren Boogaloo hasn't snapped this one up.
  5. Yep, got a white demo. Did yours come via AP? If so it was my issue.
  6. Bet you've never seen a Demo either...
  7. Used to play it 10+ years ago in 'Mod' clubs - not one for Northern nights IMO.
  8. Although Apollo is a NY label - it was produced by Daco - which is an early Detroit label.
  9. Dreadfull record. Willies Worst IMHO.
  10. Been playing out for the last couple of years - when i get asked to do 70s spots - best Stevie Wonder rip off around.
  11. Mark, What's the Paypal address for table reservation payment?
  12. Correctone demo by a country mile.
  13. Stopped counting at seven... Will do.
  14. Anthony & The Imperials - It's not the same - Veep EX £40 Edwin Starr - Love (The Lonely Peoples Prayer) - French Tamla Motown (nice pic sleeve) Mint- £15 Paypal fine - at no additional cost. P&P in the UK included, overseas add £1.00 Any questions? Ask away....
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgigrKEu0ek
  16. Maxine Brown on the Out Of Sight (Epic) LP.
  17. Had plays on the R&B scene by myself, Roger Banks and Hoss. Never took off really. Seen in sales boxes from £30 - £100. Bit of a sem-known really.
  18. It's definately a Crooner.
  19. Just a heads up - this also came out on French Tamla Motown with a nice picture sleeve. Only know this because a I picked a mint copy up at Allentown for $5 on Sunday. Which was nice....
  20. Springboard was a 1970s reissue label... they released LPs by artists such as Sly Stone (Autumn period), Barry White etc from "before they were famous" to cash in on their current chart success. Theres quite a few of these cash-ins on other labels as well - United (loads of Kent [60s] lps), Hallmark (Chi-Lites/Hi-Lites early releases), Post (Jerry Butler early solo stuff) etc.
  21. Not 100% on this but i used to play a 7" version of this on a Columbia Jukebox single. It's approx ten+ years since i last had played it out, but unless Erma did a version, then I'm pretty sure it's out there. When I get the chance i'll stick my head up in the loft and find it out to confirm.
  22. Probably right Mace, just the fact that a certain Belgian dealer has piles of them that made me presume it was done for the Belgians (since thay do like their Latin). Definately a lot of boots done for the local Pittsburgh Oldies scene that have crept out on other scenes as well - Harvey on Tri Phi, Junior Walker Good Rockin on Harvey to name but two...
  23. double post
  24. It's a bootleg made for the Belgian popcorn scene. 100% not Kosher.
