  1. Shouldn't this read Gloria Taylor?
  2. Ah, that old Chestnut. IMO this is one of the worst records ever played under the banner "Northern soul" - another being "Lady In Green"- which is also popular in some circles (but so are Gimp masks). As stated it sounds like a bunch of preppy college boys doing a Glee style lash up of something that was once a Soul record. It's lacking in any musical "bollox". To summarise it's got nothing that appeals to me, and therefore IMO belongs in the shite can. If you "Had to be there" then i'm fcuking glad i wasn't.
  3. Yup, That's scraped from the Devils arse-crack as well.
  4. That UK only version of Major Lance is nice on Demo.
  5. ah, right, though you meant the Alegre originals there. I was planning a holiday on the back of projected sales....
  6. It's a complete bag of wishy washy shite. Black or White, makes no difference to me - the fact it it sounds like the Four Preps does.
  7. right, had a few beers so i might be pissing up the wrong alley - but - Isn't the matrix markings down to who mastered the disk and made the stampers? You could then take the masters anywhere and have them pressed, providing they had the correct equipment?
  8. Simon, I'll take as many copies of Pete Rodriguez as you can send my way at a tenner apiece... And I'm not joking.
  9. fcuk me, that made me laugh out loud.
  10. I believe it comes with a free Hernia.
  11. Because it's got 5" worth of extra vinyl?
  12. Sam Taylor in Chicago buys the contents of these lockers - which is where the three copies of Lee McKinney and the Magnetics came from - apparently the were found wrapped up in a sweatshirt inside a chests of drawers.
  13. Voices Of East Harlem LP on Just Sunshine (the first one).
  14. That extinguisher wants scrapping... well past it's sell by date in my professional opinion... As for the jacket - i've got most of those patches and a few old Levi's - anyone want to make me an offer?
  15. I can't sing it, but I can hum it for you.
  16. What, Benny Womack who stacks the shelves at out local Tesco? Defo not Bobby.
  17. My last post on this seems to have gone west - so I'll repeat what I put earlier: Looking at the label above, I'd hazard a guess at the Bunky being the National release (dist by Scepter) and therefore the second issue to the Local label (Constellation).
  18. Is this in demand on the original? If so what's it fetching these days?
  19. Is that Eugene GasparD on Rosemount? If so it's a £70+ as Paul states above.
  20. There was a white label of the Originals put out in the early 90s (around 92-93) - same time as the other unreleased Motown stuff started getting pressed up (Reconsider etc...)
  21. maybe... I had a spare - I'll have to check the boxes tomorrow as I'm just about to go out.
  22. fcukin timewaster. good on yer
  23. Try to win one on eBay, that way you'll get a lovely message from Tony thanking you for 'keeping his music alive'...
