  1. If it wasn't a record well known for having reversed labels (ie Servicemen, Morris Chestnut), then as a buyer/collector I'd want to see at least a 20% reduction on the price of a 'perfect' copy.
  2. Could only send you a scan of the demo - but Troys signature probably renders it useless...
  3. Teddy Randazzo wrote quite a few... Anthony & The Imperials, Annabelle Fox, Patti Page... off the top of my head.
  4. Chosen Few - Funky Butter - Action Only need this one to have a full run on the label. Not even sure it exists as a track by the Chosen Few came out on the "Miami" label with a similar title but different flip around the same time.
  5. Prefer the Sammi Lee version, but the flip of LaCharles McCoy is a cracker as well...
  6. I think Mik bought Pauls copy.
  7. Yep, Paul Sadot defo had one of the original couple of/few copies out there.
  8. Nope, it used to be a £30 record until the last few years - then it shot up in price overnight.
  9. issue or demo Pete? Had a few issues over the last 18 months and sold them at £30 - £35 each.
  10. Got a few, but not a collector as such. Wouldn't mind a full run of the Motown ones. Theres a great book by Daniel Delorme (?) that has a picture and tracklist of each EP - unfortunately the pics are black and white - I wish they'd pushed the boat out and printed them in colour. I'd like to see another volume that had all of the French 45 picture sleeves that were issued as well.
  11. And it's at least a tenner overpriced IMO - £15 tops in Mint condition only if you are desperate for one...
  12. Four nobheads bidding against each other.
  13. no, and no, but it's on my wants list.
  14. There's a thread about this record here:
  15. Try her "Loves The Thing" LP on Buddah. One you can put on the decks and listen to end to end.
  16. Try Cliff Richards version off his Live At The Talk Of The Town LP.
  17. Irish i can get my head around - it's the Indian ones that puzzle me.
  18. I agree Bob, i have them both, but the R&B version is probably 'too R&B' for most folks on here.
  19. It'll be the Tamboo copy - it's very indemand at the minute.
  20. Deffo on a 45.
  21. Also came out in Argentina with the same cover - can't remember if the label was King though (probably Music Hall)
  22. I don't recall seeing a plain one before the mid-nineties, not doubting they were out there, just all dealers seemed to have multi ones when I bought mine (1993ish)
  23. US Volt / UK Stax LP are true first issues. Contempo is official, so I wouldn't have any problem with someone playing that out.
  24. Dave, I've had a few early Motown pieces with thick black marker on like that - but more of a NR than DR (I always assumed it meant No Returns). Usually they have been Styrene and on the Globes Tamla label - the difference in the letters could be down to someone rushing the job, or even a couple of different people in the returns department being sat marking them - lets be honest, sitting and marking the returns by hand must have been a right ballache. I reckon they did them by hand as Styrene cracks easy when drilled (ABC did the same with Gold Paint Stars / Blobs).
