  1. Was LP only until a recent official 7" issue on UK Shotgun
  2. Can't find a reply from me on this post, so i'll add one now (only took me 12 months to do so). I bought one for £10 a few years back, so $50 does sound a bit on the heavy side - having said that I don't know how many were pressed and sold in Portugal - but I'd guess a lot less than UK EPs and look at the price some of those fetch.
  3. The second one has "Can you feel it" on both sides - presumably it was re-issued double a-sided to promote the new album, since "Wanted, Dead Or Alive" was on the first Just sunshine LP
  4. Here's John Manships final post on that earlier thread... I had one in my hands on my last trip to Allentown, and let's just say that if it wasn't a counterfeit, then I'm a six-foot-plus Adonis with a knob like a Donkey.
  5. I would have paid them to take it away.
  6. It might well have come from the US, but it's highly likely that it's a (Pittsburgh) bootleg. Let's not forget that no end of records on Motown and other R&B labels were booted at the time.
  7. Sounds just like my US Demo?
  8. Lostboy? Lost Marbles, more like.
  9. I've got a Jerry Tiffe you can use... pretty sure it's Mint- I'll have a quick look in a minute.
  10. Never seen an Action label copy of this - does it even exist?
  11. £25 - £30 - ish
  12. They are a right Royal pain up the 'arris - I'm sick of looking for stuff on eBay and the current batch of 'Outtasite' reissues coming up page after page....
  13. A few bits from the shelves...
  14. Anyone mentioned Aladdin yet? Prince & Princess being the most notable release.
  15. Please listen to the soundfile on this one, then tell me it isn't comedic... https://www.ebay.com/itm/MIXED-EMOTIONS-Gold-My-Life-ULTRA-RARE-XOVER-SOUL-45-Listen-Cole-Original-/251063240333
  16. Had plenty of attention round these parts.
  17. Solomons most Northern track?
  18. Up to and including TMG 703 the first issues have "Sold subject to...yada yada yada..." printed on the centre below the hole.... as in this auction... https://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cc6118265
  19. I can sell you a mint demo now for £20 inc Paypal fees and standard postage, if you want to 'call my bluff' on the price...
  20. This is very much a recent phenomena, prior to around the early noughties, you rarely saw anyone in bags vests and circle skirts. In fact we once went out fully kitted out as fancy dress for a Xmas do (including wigs) as a laugh, probably 1999 or 2000 - if there had been anyone in Roxy Threads there 'seriously' the joke wouldn't have been funny. It all ties in with returnees and the misplaced nostalgia in the scene - where people are more interested in what colour piping on there circle skirt matches the ribbons in their pigtails whilst listening to the same 100 tunes, than dressing normally and havig a progressive attitude to the music. It's ruined the scene for me, and many of my friends.
  21. Demos are probably more plentyful. There are folks who only collect RCA issues as they tend to be rarer.
  22. Insane. Why bother auctioning items like this if their going to stick unrealistic reserves on things?
