  1. On a serious note - I do think that the bigger events (weekenders and allnighters with attendees in the hundreds) should have attendance by St Johns Ambulance or an onsite Paramedic.
  2. Threaten to go round to his house and set fire to something he loves.... his children.
  3. I'm all for playlists... If i read one, and know every track on there (and a lot of it's not to my taste), then I know it's a venue I'm going to swerve. If I don't know a fair amount of what's played but like the ones I do know on the list, then it's more likely to encourage me off my sofa (which not a lot is at the minute for various reasons). If you are scared that someone is going to copy all of your best plays (max 22 per hour spot?) then your playbox isn't strong enough. For every record you play you should have another 4 of equal merit in a 100 count box - otherwise IMO you are just playing at it.
  4. The BLJ who recorded 'You're the one love of my life' was definately half of Dean and Jean, as it's flipside 'thread your needle' was also put out by them as a duo (exact same cut).
  5. Still after one.
  6. Sounds ok - i'd have said £75 - £100. Always popular in the R&B rooms.
  7. Gentle reminder for the non Night Owls.
  8. Roy Lee Johnson - Boogaloo #3 - Black and Green label only (issue or demo) Hideaways - Hide Out - Red and Yellow label only (issue or demo) Chosen Few - Funky Butter - Issue or demo. Cash or Action LP trades waiting (Z Z Hill, Betty Harris, These Kind Of Blues - will trade 1 for 1)
  9. Some of those listed above are fooked. G - VG- / Cracked etc... I would have said £50 for the blocks design and £80 for the cartoon label.
  10. Go for a Queen copy - it's vinyl - Foxy are Styrene and generally knackered.
  11. what's under the yellow sticker? loads of US dealers cover up or cross the 'not for sale' blurb on demos so they can sell them.
  12. Tom Green - Endless Confusion - on Action. Pioneers - My Friend James - on ICE and Mercury. Jimmy Helms - Romeo & Juliet - on Pye ps Otis Clay was issued in '69 so it doesn't meet the criteria.
  13. Got this on issue and acetate.... [media=] Practically a duet with Cecil Womack.
  14. I've spoken to other Action collectors & John Manship, none of whom have had the Action 45 or even seen one. I reckon it was pulled prior to pressing and only one side put out on the Miami 45.
  15. Re: Pennsylvania address on "Doc" Could this have been used to avoid State Tax on the purchase of the 45s from the pressing plant?
  16. I have a clean copy available - £15 plus postage.
  17. Nice clean copy of this please - want to slot it in amongst my Action 45s until one turns up on that label....
  18. ninandy £125ish Bo Ro £175ish
  19. Obviously Ian wasn't the only one to mistake my pedantic tongue-in-cheek sense of humour.
  20. I do love Soul music - this lacks passion to me, and is a lightweight 80s Smooooth Jazz type vocal. Taste is a funny thing, especially lack of.
  21. Sounds like 'Moonlighting' and for that reason it's a ''No'' from me.
  22. Ninandy copies are all reissues - came out on BoRo first....
