  1. Spellbinders LP - great album, but only £75 tops in the real world. Be interested to see what a UK Valadiers, or Mike and the Modifiers would fetch since Martha raised over £800 (record collector books it at £400 , and Manship himself rated it at £561 - his previous auction high)
  2. Try doing 6 hours solid an Irish / Greek Wedding, playing Disco-Soul for the Bride and Groom, Rock & Roll for their parents, Motown for their Aunties and Uncles, and plate-smashing Zorba dancing music for the relatives from overseas... Anything less just isn't DJing.
  3. It's a big label to collect and there's some bobbins on it...
  4. where's the Funk in these tracks?
  5. < Cashing In - The Voices Of East Harlem.
  6. I've got a couple of copies - I'll get back to you with condition and price - both play well, probably VG++ and Mint- copies.
  7. Already had a couple of Bobby's mentioned, but I think this is his most under rated 45....
  8. Too common for most.
  9. Same as my orig issue. Believe these are the 'Masters' numbers as on the label (issue number is on the bottom of the label, but the master number is on the right above the time) See the Liz Lands here to see what I mean: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIZ-LANDS-DONT-SHUT-ME-OUT-ONE-DERFUL-/150860759627?pt=UK_Records&hash=item232000824b#ht_500wt_1287
  10. Sounds like "Elmer Fudd sings Chuck Jackson" Tis a no for me.
  11. The Orange Legrand issue above is a completely different cut of the track - it's a 70s re-recording. The flip on that issue is "interesting"
  12. Does this have a picture sleeve? If so I'll take it.
  13. Big City Soul from Billy Adams - check out the backing singers...Dee Dee Warwick, Cissy Houston and Sylvia Shemwell
  14. It's a 1980s RCA era re-issue. Not a case of running out of labels - more a case of them never having them in the first place.
  15. There's a french version of Rescue Me on eBay at the minute (Sylvie Vartan?)
  16. Anyone said 'Poor Dog' Little Richard?
  17. Scanning through the list I thought Dusty Springfield was a bit top heavy at $95 - but, it's the first issue I've ever seen listed - I always though it was Demo only. (I had a slack handfull of demos a few years back that I sold for $30ish a piece.)
  18. Just one question - Whatever happened to the Funk scene? I could swear that I heard many of these tracks (and better) on it in the early 1990s.
  19. Elgins came out on Argentinian Tamla Motown... See first post on this thread: /forums/topic/201515-thats-nice-unusual-releases-from-around-the-world/
  20. Cheap way of advertising his other sales...
  21. I've had both and never noticed any significant difference - kept the Charge copy as its about 10x rarer than the Dawn issue.
  22. I never got to read the third issue - I remember Ray Hudson having it, he was supposed to be sorting the printing of it?
  23. FFS, don't give em any more ideas for Tat.
