  1. I believe I may have made a terrible error in the size of my bid..... Hopefully some rich fool will top my bid before the auctions end. WOOF!
  2. People who moan about it. WOOF!
  3. Back on topic.... G.C. Cameron - Wait Until Tomorrow - UK Ardent. Good 80s tune that can be picked up for less than a tenner. WOOF!
  4. Already up to £58 with a fortnight to go! Paid the princely sum of 90p for mine about 7 years ago.... I've also got a copy of the album in my sales box, with not a single sniff @ £15. WOOF!
  5. A fantastic R&B record that one Chalky! You'll be telling me Buddy Ace - True Love Money Can't Buy is a Northern Soul record next.... WOOF!
  6. Won't be quite so cheap now Johnny Ovenchips has decided to auction a copy.... hasn't even got the picture sleeve! WOOF!
  7. Was working as Fire Officer at a large corporate dinner dance, and who should walk on stage but Edwin Starr (plus full band). Made an hour of the event pass very pleasantly. It was the last time I saw him live, as it was about 18mths before he passed away.... WOOF!
  8. I have a 1969 UK Tour programme and ticket stub....... He toured with the Flirtations on that part of the tour. Some cracking B&W photos in it. It will be for sale at Prestatyn, along with loads of early Blues & Souls, 1960s/1970s fanzines, original sheet music etc.... WOOF!
  9. Saturday 19th March FLIPside at Sheridans. Free entry to all SSCDTers....... WOOF!
  10. What's the sound quality like on the "Kimono" side? .... on the boot it's atrocious.... sounds really muffled...... WOOF!
  11. Was only a £15 record a few years ago. Unfortunately, stick one up on eBay and see how much it fetches.... Think the last one I saw was around the £70 mark, way too much but that's what people are paying. Stick your hand in your pocket, you tight bugger! WOOF!
  12. I heard he was posted there when he did a stint in the U.S. Army...... WOOF!
  13. Got a Canadian copy of this in my saels box.... will have to dig it out and give it another listen. WOOF!
  14. Also think that the last Wilton was musically the worst I've been to for a long time.... Too much lacklustre modern being spun I.M.O. To be fair I'll give it a few more events for the new promotion team to make their mark, before I decide whether to vote with my feet or not. WOOF!
  15. Someone to run around the soft furnishings with a hoover.... always come away smelling of Wilton fust....... WOOF!
  16. Sold one for £50 last month. WOOF!
  17. Yup. Jarred on the senses......... no flow to the set.... jumped about from style to style with no apparent rhyme or reason....... Only a couple of tracks I didn't like (which made a change for one of Sams sets), so not too bad. WOOF!
  18. Dirty Man - Laura Lee WOOF!
  19. It's all Soul Sams fault..... Played loads of great tracks but all in the wrong order. Made for a hard to follow set.... just gave up in the end. WOOF!
  20. Save me and Shane one please. WOOF!
  21. I don't know alot about the Popcorn scene, except that it is a Dance Scene founded on the mid-tempo side of things. Was played and Booted on the Belgian Popcorn scene in the mid-seventies.... As were loads of Okeh label releases. Tangiers - Let My Heart And Soul Be Free was also much in demand there in the 1970s. or how about: Betty O'Brien - She'll Be Gone - Liberty (This got a Belgian Boot) Popcorn is like Northern in the fact that whilst there are some absolutely storming records, there is also a fair amount of shite played. Making sweeping statements about any musical genre / style only means you end up missing out on the cream. I'm sure Miss Popcorn could name quite a few tracks that were played out oldies on the Popcorn Scene well before Northern Venues picked up on them. WOOF!
  22. Got a few copies of this in my sales box.... was gonna include it in my set at the under £50 Nighter.... £20 Stone Mint / £15 EX / £5 Ex but hairline crack NAP. Contact me if you want one. WOOF!
  23. Paid £70 for mine last year. WOOF!
  24. Depends on what you're using em for...... Wheels aren't much use in the dark.... but then again Torches are no good if you've got a flat. Fork and Balloon - How do they compare? WOOF!
  25. Not the same 'Crickets', these were a Doo Wop group. WOOF!
