  1. If a record is in Soul sams top five, then I know its a tune to avoid at all costs...... Nuff said. WOOF!
  2. Tomato / Tomato.... Potato / Potato..... If you've heard the Piedmont copy and but pick up the Epic one you may not be getting what you bargained for. Morrisey the Consumer Monkey. WOOF!
  3. Been playing Betty Lavettes version for nearly ten years now, bought it when it was a £5 cheapie, great to see its finally getting some recognition. Can't see how anyone could ever say that she did a 'light' version of this track, it fair rips along with a belting vocal. This version just lacks any 'Oomph!', very lacklustre... WOOF!
  4. Shorter version without sweeping intro...... Buyer beware! WOOF!
  5. And its the original...... WOOF!
  6. Sold three copies in the las 6 months for £25 each.... gonna start getting some hammer since they were all DJs who bought them. Got A Piedmont issue in my saels box at the moment. WOOF!

Tommy Raye - You Don't Love Me - Pen C.L.Blast - Double Up - Stax Ronnie Love - Chills And Fever - Dot Bobby Joy - Sweet Devil You - TRC Al Williams - I Am Nothing - La Beat Johnny Jone & The King Casuals - Soul Poppin - Brunswick WOOF!
  11. Sold a couple on eBay for a tenner a pop. WOOF!
  12. Stop trying to wheedle out of payment. It's a legit U.S. issue. WOOF!
  13. Lick It! WOOF!
  14. It's real... The Head label is an early 70s re-issue label that put out things on the Jewel and Ronn labels mainly. The Jesse Gresham 45 was issued as "The Penguin" but without the drum intro. Pay up! WOOF!
  15. She's just limped off to bed now...... WOOF!
  16. No dodgiest lyrics ever are in a track called 'Butcher Pete' by Roy Brown. He has a large chopper, and he sees to all the girls with it...eventually he ends up in prison and sorts out his cell mate with it. Early 50s track and its obscene. Jailhouse Rock is about shagging in the nick as well.......I wonder if Elvis knew when he recorded it... WOOF!
  17. It's sexual bragging in this sense......... bit like saying he's gonna knock her hip out of joint.... Also brags about his "Jelly Roll" (nob) WOOF!
  18. Seen a few on eBay for only slightly more, and we all know that the prices on there are 'vastly' inflated........ WOOF!
  19. £15 - £20 Wouldn't mind one meself. WOOF!
  20. Got one of these.... Not checked to see if it plays ok yet, but it should do as it looks ok. £3 if you want it (with postage) WOOF!

  22. Otis, You may be one hell of a Black Cat, but Beware of the Dog. I have an habit of doggying anything within reach. WOOF!
  23. Percy Milem -£20ish.... would be happy to pay upto £25 for a UK copy if pushed. WOOF!
  24. Should be able to pick a copy of the LP up for around £20. I bought mine about 10 years ago for £8 and havent regretted it for a minute. WOOF!
  25. Fantastic. No matter how a thread starts out it always ends up in either an oldie v's newies debate or sexual innuendo. I love it! WOOF!
