I think 'What's Going On' is vastly overated. It seems ever music journalist and ten bob pundit pulls it out of the hat when they need a 'classic' Soul album to jam into some wanky poll. 'Look at me I'm so eso-fcuking-teric' "Let's get it on" is more listenable, and "M.P.G" contains some of the best tracks recorded for Motown. J.J. Barnes is good, but hasn't got the body of work to form a decent comparison. I.M.H.O.
