  1. Bobby Womack fetched over £100 on Manships auction, s a real world price would probably be about £40
  2. That Little Willie G version is shite
  3. Seconded... T'other sides not bad though.
  4. Pete, You're a twat There ya go.
  5. https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...5779355-4842054 I can recommend the above CD if you don't already have it
  6. Isn't it 'Art Grayson'?
  7. https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildata.php?itemnr=4048474904 Is this the album you're thinking of? 7" is constantly around £50 on eBay.
  8. It's a fantastic ensemble piece, no one person could create such a sound on their own.
  9. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/rare-soul-45-Donn-La...6QQcmdZViewItem Listed on Craig Moerers current eBay auctions. Bid now before someone steals this masterpiece of Modern Soul. WOOF!
  10. Might be off the mark here but isnt Patti Jo also known as P.J of Tender Loving Care fame? Also heard that she recorded under the name Patti Jerome but unsure on this as well.
  11. First 30 seconds are great, then the gospel backing vocals spoil it... just too 'Churchy' for these ears.
  12. Bertha Tillman - Far too expensive! Sold the last couple I had for £30 each, and it's pretty easy to pick up on eBay.
  13. Unfortunately, as with all 'Flavour of the month' records, price rise doesn't reflect rarity... wait until everyones sick of hearing it and then give it a year on top, and the price will settle to what it should be.
  14. Record collector magazine has always been well out on the prices of Soul 45s...
  15. No, the much rarer Australian Wizard copy.... 12 known copies according to the Capitol Soul Club website... Reckon it's probably a few more than that though...
  16. Marcia Hines - last one I saw for sale (only one I've seen except mine) was £400 - Steve Plumb had it a couple of years ago
  17. £50 ? Sounds a bit cheap that.
  18. Not much use if you want to DJ with em though....
  19. Bit rich for me this month... plus you can guarantee with my luck all the tracks I liked would be in the worst nick
  20. I'll give you £200 then...
  21. If I say I'm a Wolves fan can I get the lot for £150?
  22. Wouldn't know what to offer but definately interested if the price is right...
  23. No demo's - all issues King Soul (purple label) Silver Fox (multi) Silver Fox (black) Glo-Whiz (black) SSS International (multi) Wouldn't mind demo's of any of the above.
  24. And all points inbetween... Depends on the night and the clubs music policy. DJ'ed at the Hideaway on Saturday as well, but managed to put together a spot of semi-known 60s R&B some Hideaway 'Classics' On Saturday afternoon, I knew the crowd would probably appreciate a set of Crossover and Modern, and gave me the chance to blow the dust out of the grooves. I'm a resident at 'Steam' , where I try and play a set of Semi-known 60s, R&B and Current niter sounds. As for advertising DJ line-ups with Clubs listed after DJ's, I don't really see the point... if the promoter has done their job right they will have booked the right DJ to fit the clubs music policy.
  25. Count me in, and I'm sure we could persuade Horse to be in on it.
