  1. Peach Melba's Cousin?
  2. Sold mine for a ton about six months ago. Not as rare as people seem to think it is... about 20 went through ebay 18ths ago - all mint and all for around $50 each (that's where mine came from). Pat Brady is lifting your leg @ £200.
  3. arrrgh ~ take it off ~ it burns my poor lug-holes
  4. Three big piles. Keep. Sell. Bin.
  5. Major link between The Wheel and Football Hoolies was the Suedeheads... My Pa was a Skinhead in '69, locked up for fighting in general around 1971 (Football matches, Fairgrounds, Bus Stops at kicking out time) and started going to nighters in 73 upon his release.
  6. His trainers could do with a clean, scruffy get. I'll bet he gets mistaken for a bin-man in those.
  7. Stick it up then so we can remind ourselves of what we haven't got.
  8. I've been actively looking for this record for the last 4 years. It is rare, and I'd happily stump up a fat sack of cash for it.
  9. Got both the LP with the live version and the 45. If I remember right, the 45 is a studio cut and doesn't go into "Wade In The Water" Think the LP is in my Sales Box. I'll pm you the details of condition / price if you are interested.
  10. Album - "Wanted One Soul Singer" on UK/US Stax EP - "Blues In The Night" French Stax. ps got an album for sale... t'aint cheap though...
  11. Winnie, what is this "Chinstrokers Ball" you speak of?
  12. The last two links are buy-it-now prices - i.e. you press the button to purchase and it's yours - no auction involved. All you do is pay the price stated plus p+p (usually $5 - $8 from the U.S.)
  13. Peter Stringfellow had quite a few appear at his clubs in the 1960s - ie "The Fabulous Temptations"

  16. surely you must have had him close to tears?
  17. Cardboardbrains, do you have Cloth Ears? Terrible.
  18. Got a Ex Derrick Morgan - Blazing Fire... what's that one fetch? To be honest I do like the track so would only part with it if it's worth my time getting rid. Whilst I'm asking values, what are these worth? Reggaematic Sounds - Bamboo LP Prince Buster - Ten Commandments LP - U.S RCA Byron Lee - Reggae Blast Off - Trojan Byron Lee - Reggae Splash Down - Trojan
  19. It's a Mac Rebennack (a.k.a Doctor John) track, under the name The Zu Zu Blues Band... covered as "Brown Sugar" by the Watts 103rd St Band.
  20. Last couple of King Tut's sold for £225 and $200 on eBay... Was this booted?
  21. Personal favourite version of this track is by Baby Washington on Cotillion...
  22. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me... "I'm on next" "Bogger off it's me" "but you've already done fifteen minutes" "Feck Off, I want to go home at 4" "but I've only just started playing...."
  23. Yep, seen a couple... Lack-lustre Jazz track that has crossed over from the R&B rooms to the Northern rooms. Can't understand why they've plumped for this one, when there are loads of crackin' uptempo R&B tracks that scream Northern at you...
  24. I thought the extra holes were used for pinning the acetate in position on the 'lathe' - otherwise the disk would just spin uncontrolably when any amount of pressure was applied on the cutting tool
