So sorry to hear of Nige's passing. I've only known him for a couple of years, but we spent many a fun hour at Sheridans 'arguing' over the merits of R&B - all in jest - both given and taken. I'll miss his pleasant demeanor and wicked sense of humour. RIP Nige. Cheers, Joe.

Jan Jones - Independant Woman This must be one of the most popular 80s tracks, and seen the most dancefloor action, over recent years at least.

This is a great record - just the right type of R&B to play to the 'Northern' crowd - not a hint of clip clop in it... I paid £50 for mine a couple of years ago, and have only seen a couple listed since for around £75 - £100.

The Joy Lovejoy is on Checker in the US (1960's) and Chess in the UK (1970's) The Denise Laselle is the National label - the first local label is Tarpon.

Common sense dictates that there should be the use of usernames, otherwise Pete Smith from Leeds would be accused of looking like an Oompaloompa and Pete Smith from Wolverhampton way would be accused of being a lush. There is only one Jamien though...

That Goofbay tool is dangerous... I've just looked up item# 4885582231 It's Ruby - Feminine Ingenuity - a popular record, which will attract plenty of bids. The tool has flagged up two instances of "Signs of Shill Bidding" - now I know the second one '3174steve' and he's as honest as the day is long... if he's bidding, it's so he can buy it to sell or trade on... This makes him look like he's some kind of baby-eating ruffian. Not good I.M.O.
