  1. They obviously went to the Beach .... bloody sand gets in every crack.
  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/smokinshooz/m.html?item=271190062821&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  3. Stick scans up in the Foreign issues thread if ya don't mind. Cheers!
  4. It's hard to find one that doesn't play like a sack of spanners.
  5. Yes Brand Spanking New as in not Second Hand vinyl.
  6. If it's stated in your auction that less than 10 feedback must contact you prior to bidding, just cancel his bid.
  7. In response to this thread, I've created a poll specifically about New Vinyl, as the original poll was concerned with your last purchase.... Could prove interesting.
  8. Following on from the latest purchases poll, here's a more specific Vinyl related question.
  9. It was fetching £60+ on ebay a couple of years back,
  10. About £40 I would imagine. Legit 1970s re-recording issued by the original label owner.
  11. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-60s-Detroit-Collectors-Soul-Teen-45-DICKIE-AND-THE-EBB-TIDES-Listen-/190820198997?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item2c6dc52a55
  12. There's guidelines on what constitutes 'suitable' packing on the Royal Mail website, and his would not meet that standard. Here you go, should be on here somewhere... https://www.royalmail.com/personal/help-and-support/A-Z-guide-on-wrapping-and-packaging%20 about half way down
  13. They must have changed this in the last five tears, since the last time I had to claim on behalf of the buyer, which was a major ballache, as they had to send it back to me.
  14. Take a photo of the packing then send it all back to the seller for them to claim back (i'd send it back recorded). If you bought it through eBay, there is a section where you can make a claim back through them (Item not as described/damaged, in the same section as a non receipt claim)
  15. Demos on RCA are generally harder on the big selling artists (Elvis, etc) but the soul releases tend to be much harder to get on issue (can't think of any off the top of my head where the demo is harder).
  16. Sounds a fair bit like Ruth Brown when she sang Try Me and See...
  17. Robb, Are you thinking of their other release on the Apollo label "Nervous" which also came out on Daco? I don't recall ever seeing a Daco label issue of Honky Tonk Woman?
  18. Jamaican seems favourite - particularly since it has a pre Atlantic split design label on a post split tune
  19. I know who is putting most of these out - he's fairly blatant about it. I can only assume that he is getting a list of "hot" titles from each of the scenes that make up the overall R&b scene - as there seems to be a broad brush stroke at the style of 45s that they are putting out. It's crap if you've just got hold of an original, but it is keeping a bit of an arms race going between the DJs and the bootlegger.
  20. Very naughty claiming it to be "unknown".
  21. Warning - make sure your floors are strong if having a record room above ground floor.... I moved house, and when all my records were shifted out of the box room, the kitchen ceiling raised back up by about 1/2", creating a big crack all along one wall.
  22. Big Maybelle - I got a feelin' - Okeh issue $2.99 from Hyde Park records in Chicago circa 2008.
  23. It's probably because Record Collector magazine would have sent the heavies round, for nicking the content of their next twelve issues.
