  1. I'd give her the 'Thumbs Up!'
  2. Sad news Keith. Unfortunately I think this may be a sign of the times. Whilst in the U.S., every record shop I visited there had a copy of that lovely Mr Manships price guide and were consulting it religiously. I was fortunate in the fact that most of the stuff that I'm searching for isn't in the guide, but still think that a lot of the dealers heard my accent and added 50% onto the price just in case they thought I might be lifting their legs. An even glummer-than-usual Henry Atkinson was seen wandering round a massive record fair with scant pickings. Maybe Mr Manships aim was to price other dealers out of the market with his guides? If so he's done a sterling job - but maybe he's killed the goose that laid the golden egg?
  3. Along with the beat up copy of Ernest Mosley for $500....
  4. Just got back from Vals, and gotta say he was very friendly, if a little 'kooky'. Pricewise, everything starts at $20, so if you want anything under £20 in the guide it's a bust. Still managed to pick up a few nice pieces from him, particularly R&B which isn't in the books yet. He does like to go on about the Lord, Mental Health and I-Raq though, so a pair of ear-plugs is recommended.
  5. I know where theres a Sepia copy for $1500 (Gulp)
  6. You need the book: Fabulous EP's Covers by Daniel Delorme, published by USA Records Productions It has the majority of collectible French EP covers pictured, with a run down of the tracks on each one.
  7. More Love - Gospel Classics
  8. It's cack. Disco Dross of the highest (or should that be lowest) order.
  9. What label is it on? Smash?
  10. Before it crashed a couple of years ago there used to be loads of Cher tracks on.
  11. Got a shed load of R&B trades available, give us a clue as to the type of tune you're looking for.
  12. Surely this record is only a fifteen quidder? Not rare by any stretch of the imagination - was a regular in Anglo Americans early 90s Soul Packs.
  13. Came out in the UK on Soul City...The Johnny Taylor tracks on 'The Roots Of' album, the others on 45... The Executives billed as the Soul City Executives for some strange reason.
  14. Ahaar... I hates "Bid Away!!!!" and "Bid High, and Bid Often" or "Give me your money you fcuking muppet"
  15. Paid about £125 for mine about 18 months ago. As fer demand, not many DJs seem to 'ave it (or if they does, they don't play it), but it alzo be up on Mr Manships 'rarest of the rare'. Bit o' a conundrum, and no mistake, young feller mi laad
  16. Kent Album - probably about £15 - stick it on eBay for the best return. Bobby Bland - Sold one for £30 a couple of years ago (Canadian, black label Duke) but undervalued in my opinion - not an easy one to get hold of.
  17. Still no wiser on this one... Anyone else got a clue?
  18. Voice Of East Harlem - Voices Of East Harlem - Just Sunshine

  23. Ahoy, indeed it is... Sally MacLennane https://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/...3078608-9196102
