Very confusing...
The Itzy label is from Pittsburgh and are still going today, with CDs full of 'Oldies' that were popular in the sixties, that area.
I've seen one release on the label (non-soul) that was distributed by Gateway records, and the Soul/Mickey Lee Lane ones do look like soething to come out of Philly (similar to the BB label).
This leads me to believe that at least some of the records were official, and issued to cash in on the 'local' hits.
Maybe they were a back door 'cash' job for Swan records?
Or genuine re-issues to cash in on a very limited market?
