  1. it a nutshell, yes.
  2. Surely he could issue a notice of intention to sue eBay for allowing this seller to continue to sell his bootlegs after they have been informed that they are such... that might stir them up a bit?
  3. Blowtorch on high.
  4. Wouldn't give you 40 quid for an original, let alone a boot...
  5. Played it at a couple of venues last year - went down like a lead balloon.
  6. the ones you want are known as 'boxing style' posters - printed on thick card - usually two or three colours silk screened - they ain't cheap tho'. Got a couple of 80s ones - Jerry Butler appearing at some form of Masonic lodge, and Otis Clay.
  7. Trammps? some of them at least?
  8. Made the seller an offer of a quid. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ORIG-PROMO-IKE-TINA-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. Might play it for you at Rothwell.....
  10. I'm sure i have the "little joe - peanuts" somewhere - might be able to find it out tomorrow...
  11. Yes.
  12. Few more while the scanners hot....
  13. A few more scarcer variations.....Bob Brady on Red Chariot, Master Four on cartoon Tay-Ster and Coasters on West Coast Styrene issue.....
  14. Explains how scarce these are then...
  15. Here's the white label variation - the hardest?
  16. JINX!
  17. Sounds like the boot to me... They were pressed up with pop-out middles - the same as UK records from the 60s, then they were popped out leaving the indentations where the centre used to be. (Stuart Ames was done at the same time/place). Original came in three or four different colours...will try and scan mine later.
  18. I'd have kept the thump thump thump bit and cut off the rest of the cack that followed it....
  19. I used to share a student house with the bass player from a NWOBHM band, and he loved the following because he could copy the bass parts in them... Montclairs - Hung Up On Your Love and Frankie Valli - The Night.
  20. Get's played in the R&B rooms....
  21. Good version, but only worth about a fiver.
  22. Here's an oddball release for a Stax off-shoot...
  23. Final one for today... C. L. Blast came out on U.S. Stax (blue record stack label), but here's an issue on the Stax subsidary "HIP" Same tracks on both issues, but the flipside title is shortened slightly on the HIP issue. HIP appeared to issue mainly White 'Hippy' music, so it's a bit puzzling this turning up on the label. No one I've quizzed about this seems to know of it's existence.
  24. Rarer issue of Gloria Taylor - never seen a demo on this label....
  25. And here's a different Sue demo.
