  1. Little known fact - in the UK you can claim up to £30 for a damaged letter/parcel without paying for recorded delivery... You just need evidence of the damage and proof of posting. The recorded delivery charge is for just that - the obtaining of a signature.
  2. If the record was worth more than £30 it should have been sent registered at the buyers expense - if they didn't want to pay then they should have took the loss rather than you. Try your local post office for a lost/damaged letter claim form.
  3. You can claim up to £30 compo - but you need the item, the packaging and evidence of the items value (the eBay sale page won't be enough). It's a ballache to do though.
  4. I wouldn't rec second hand unless you know the person selling. Bit like a boy racers car, you never know the amount of abuse that they have had. Even if they look ok I'd still have to have them serviced, which bumps the price up no end. Surely a decent low price set of decks would be better for what is presumably a starter? Upgrade to professional gear later...
  5. Fair price that... paid £30 for mine about 12 years ago (pre-internet days...). So according to the guides, the demo without the nice flip is worth double the issue? Madness.
  6. Why would anyone buy the demo, when the issue has the nice flip?
  7. slightly above budget but they are dd: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KAM-DJ-MIX-150-direc...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. You'll not get Direct Drives for £150....try close to that each plus cost of mixer. Numark do a DJ set of Belt Driven decks and mixer/cross fader for about £150.
  9. It will cost'ee, your very Soul... Damnation, I tell ee - DAMNATION!
  10. Got an Intruders you can have for £15 including s+h
  11. A friend of mine wants a copy of Judy Clay - Do You Think That's Right - Ember and keeps pestering me to sell him mine... Sooo does anyone have a decent copy (issue or demo) for sale so that I can get him off my back? Cheers M'dears.
  12. Tardis I think...
  13. Send me to the dealer who pays 60% of the value... i've got about £10k worth of sales that I wouldn't mind letting go at 60% of their book price LOL... What the hell, i'd let them have them for 50% and I'd throw the boxes in for free. Back in the real world... Dealers will only pay top whack on current indemand items that they have got guaranteed sales for. Everything else, I reckon youd be doing ok at 30 - 35% of book price.
  14. Might I suggest that he replaces the electric Piano with a Hammond B3?
  15. I have a mint demo of the Roy Brown - send me your offer...
  16. First (aged 9) - traded a copy of Tobi Legend "Time Will Pass You By" on Eric for a Madness single. Last - Eddie & Ernie "I Can't Do It" Eastern WD
  17. Thanks for reminding me of this Mace I was the underbidder...
  18. Crayola Craft Glue is PVA, only about 4 times the price....
  19. Yup... You asked for one that wouldn't damage the label... not the Styrene . General purpose PVA (aka Woodglue) does the trick and dries clear.
  20. Airfix.....
  21. Not as far as I'm aware, none of the guides list it and I've never seen one.... i'd like one if it did. No UK releases for C L Blast on Stax - just checked through the listing. "What Can I Do" came out on two different labels on United - more common? Blue issue and rarer? Yellow issue.
  22. Think your getting your tracks mixed up... Double Up - C.L. Blast - U.S. Stax / U.S. Hip No Uk release.
  23. One of them came out on Uk Jay Boy... presumably the Mirwood/Keyman version
  24. Thought it was the Americans who introduced a ban on artists from overseas performing in the U.S. unless there was a reciprical agreement - IE the Yardbirds could only get Visas to appear in the U.S. if say Bob Dylan was booked to tour the U.K. Beatlemania and the success of groups like Freddie and the Dreamers caused them to panic about the amount of money going to overseas artists and record companies.
  25. Isn't the blue label copy a 1970s reissue (albeit officially done) ? Originals are purple as per the eBay auction.
