  1. Can you post up a pic of the sleee and a scan of the label? As I've said, I've never seen one and would love to see confirmation that it exists on the Action label.
  2. What about sarky comments on the rest of the list? Are you sure that the Bobby Patterson is on Pama?
  3. https://www.georgwa.demon.co.uk/action_records.htm Contains a full listing of albums...unfortunately it only covers the first 45 series (red/yellow and green/black labels) Although I've never seen a copy of the Eddie Burns LP on UK Action - all the copies I've seen have been on B&C - I think this may be a mistake copied from an earlier incorrect listing...
  4. There's also an album by Jimmy Reed on the label - "Down In Virginia" - but without it in front of me, I can't recall the release number...
  5. Test pressing probably - no significant difference in value though - unless it's got a different track listing to the finished album.
  6. action 6009 Various Artists - These Kind Of Blues Got a spare of this, and the Betty Harris somewhere... I have the entire label barring (i think) two 45s... I'm currently in the process of constructing a web-site with full label scans and reviews... maybe even soundfiles if I can work out how to host them...
  7. I'd rate it more like £40 for the Ware label and £75 for the GO GO GTO.
  8. Came out on Vinyl as well as CD
  9. Cassietta George - Don't Give Up - Audio Gospel
  10. Massively overpriced I.M.O. Paid a tenner for mine about 6 years back and the last one I saw was £60 (no more than a couple of years ago).
  11. How I Imagine..... Mel Brat (1 in a series of 20) Armchair Soulie No1 The acrid smell of his piss-soaked bathchair having seeped into his overly-nostalgic brain, combined with the discomfort caused by sitting in said piss has fuelled his thoroughly negative and repetetive rants.
  12. Brown Sugar is too sweet and sugary... Zu Zu Man is gritty and funky. Horses for courses. Zu Zu is the original though.
  13. If the person sending it hasn't sent it with enough insurance, then he should refund you the difference, unless you declined the offer of additional cover up to the records value.
  14. The other label is Vee Jay.
  15. When these were doing concerts together a couple of years ago, a wag commented to me that they ought to dub the tour "3 Tops and a Temptation"
  16. Zu Zu Man is the same tune as Brown Sugar but with a totally different (and better) arrangement...
  17. no, cos your a first rate cock who hides behind a screen name... pm me with your real name and we'll sort it from there
  18. Wonderful... probably more upbeat and loving life. And I get to eat Bacon sarnies, which is always a boon.
  19. Must be wonderful being you....
  20. B. B. King recorded a track with the same title and he was a Kent recording artist.... The Bobby Bland one isn't in his discography on the SKM website - nor is it in the Tracks catalogue. Ah well, not often I'm right, but I'm wrong again.
  21. Explains a lot - Try B.B. King and I think you might have more success....
  22. Are you sure thats Bobby Bland?
  23. Wooooooooooooo! get you!
  24. Got a spare issue somewhere... Will look for it after the weekend for you. Am I the only person who thinks posting wants at a weekend seems a bit daft as most people who may have one will be out?
  25. You could always sell yer arse on the Town Hall steps.
