  1. Worth about that..... Great album though.
  2. Fcuk me. Anyone want a copy for £200?
  3. ACT III ~ TO-DAY I WANT TO STAY INSIDE / I CAN FEEL THE TEARS ~ HARLEY RECORDS Any info would be appreciated... Played by who/when/where, Year recorded, availability, price etc.
  4. I think it stinks like a bucket of fish heads left out on a July afternoon.
  5. Meant to add on to mine... worth every penny. Don't smoke, don't go up town every night pissing my wages up a wall, don't buy new cars that lose a third of their value as you drive them off the forecourt, so seems like good value to me.
  6. Tell him to return your record, for a full refund. Don't let him bully you into a partial refund. If you get a different copy back - scan it and send a copy of your auction page and the scan to eBay and submit a complaint against him. Make sure you have no money in your Paypal account, so that he can't be refunded by Paypal (they are fcukers for siding with the buyer without fully checking with the seller). If all else fails put his ID up on here so everyone else can block him as a buyer.
  7. both U.S. issues are green - different shades though... 2nd issue is a brighter grass green, firts issue is more olive...
  8. 1st issue £30 2nd issue £15 UK issue £5 UK Demo £10 Prices I've sold em for over the last 5 years. Never seen a U.S. issue...
  9. probably pushing the £15K mark... Records, entrance to venues, diesel to get there, drinks, charity raffles etc all add up.
  10. As already stated, selling to a dealer will pull in a lot less cash - something like 35% - 40% of ''value''. If the records are in various states you can knock that down a fair bit as well.
  11. I'll see your Bernard Cribbens and raise you a Cliff Richard and the Shadows.... https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...s_promot_widget
  12. They are all UK Tailor mades aren't they? Bit like the Wigans Ovation of the Ska collectors scene...
  13. Sold a boot of The High Keyes 'Living A Lie' on eBay for £56 a few years ago - clearly marked up as not being an original copy and with a scan of the label too. Also sold a boot of the Invitations 'What's Wrong With Me Baby' for a mad sum (can't remember how much exactly but it was a lot), to a U.S. collector - clearly advertised as a boot, and even pointed out to the buyer before payment was made - he replied saying that he wanted it because it was a boot, and it was the first one he'd seen after years of searching - turned out he was a full on 'Dynovoice' collector and he had to have it.
  14. Feck me ragged. Such a cutting remark from one who goes out on the scene about as often as the Olympic torch.
  15. Time fo a thread revival... /index.p...hl=handkerchief
  16. Only if you buy in to any of the above. I'd rather gnaw my own hand off than attend any of the high-lighted events.
  17. Saw a copy on eBay about five years ago but didn't bid on it... went for something like $20 in the end. One of the singles from the album came out on the HBR label.
  18. Childish nonsense. Sending anonymous letters is the act of a coward. If you feel so strongly about the matter, approach the promotor face to face and at least give them the opportunity answer your fears.
  19. Apparently Cockroaches can live without their heads for a week. I could happily live without my ears for a week if it meant I couldn't hear Mr Latrines Hi Energy take on, ahem, "Northern Soul 2007"
  20. Just paid $9... which is about $3 too much really... I think a lot of eBay sellers are ramping up the prices on their postage to cover the higher eBay fees and the low value USD.
  21. "Coming in September 2007 the most important brand new album in the entire history of the Northern Soul scene" Whoever wrote this ought to be offered a job writing sitcoms for the BBC, it's the funniest thing I've heard since Derek and Clives "Live".
  22. Nay!, Nay! and Thrice Nay! Ooer Missus, The wrong Mr Howard.
  23. Phil, Do you have a list of albums that you are looking for, or that you already have? I have around 250 motown albums that I'd be willing to part with, but I'll be bugg'rd if I've got the time to list them all at the minute... PM me a trades list if you have one, as I'm more than happy to swap.
  24. Bettye Swann - Don't Take My Mind - Money
  25. #4 Tempests - What You Gonna Do - Smash
