Sherri Taylor and Singin' Sammy Ward - Lover is a belter. The Contours first record "Whole Lotta Woman" is a cracker too, but watch out for 80s repros, they are very hard to tell the difference, its all down to matrix stamps.

seems like the eBay bubble has finally burst.... listed a load of £10 - £20 records for a $1 a pop last month and half of them failed to get an opening bid. same handfull of peeps chasing the same handfull of records?

There is a different version on the Chess Rhythm and Soul CD... sounds very crisp in comparison to the 45 version. Not aware of the demo's being anything but the usual mix of the 45.

Mini-Nighters (or Soul Nights as we call em round here) are the Devils Spunk.... How many people use public transport to get to nighters these days? I used to travel all over the shop on Trains, Coaches and even Buses (Sheffield To Keele on a small bus) - having to hang around for a couple of hours on a Sunday morning was bad enough when kicked out of a venue at 7am.... hardly encouraging to be turfed out at 4am.
