  1. Or less Cooking Sherry...
  2. It's a South Yorkshire thing.... just like people whose name is Smith being called Smiggy
  3. Thought I was going to have to draw you a picture LOL
  4. People who tag onto threads, with inane comments, just so they can 'promote' their forthcoming night....
  5. All depends on whether thay are genuine bids, and if the winning bidder will pay up..... LOL
  6. Every one of his auctions has a bid on..... strange that, eh? Wonder how much the bidder has stuck on them? Bet it's a fair bit for these rare items.
  7. A big mess of a record. Horrible.
  8. Add to that "Choonage", "Tunage" and any other wanky variation.
  9. Record fair.
  10. Picked one up at Allentown for $20.
  11. Wasn't this a minor R&B hit? Should be able to pick one up for a tenner I.M.O.
  12. Try this... Big_Martha___You_Dont_Love_Me_Like_You_Used_To.mp3
  13. About £20. Label is Mala.
  14. No, its pre FM radio, so both sides would be mono. It was only once FM radio started that demos were made stereo/mono

  16. Paid £50 including shipping for a mint copy of the Beginning, after looking for an original for years - be careful it has been reissued.
  17. Try and get her album "The Beginning" on Sound Stage 7. Or the Charly LP that pulls quite a few of her SS7 tracks together.
  18. "One way love affair" on the other side? If so its a solid £20 R&B club track.
  19. There used to be a loophole on UK produced records, where you didn't have to declare 99 copies of a record as they were considered as a promotional tool - this is how Blue Horizon (and it's affiliated labels) got around pressing Blues records in the 1960s
  20. It's only bootlegging if you have a carver made and then sell it on. Copies of records from your personal collection are classed as back up files and require no royalties to be paid. Playing them out in public though is a different matter...
  21. £75 at a guess. They were selling them at $100 a pop on eBay for a while but that seems to have stopped now.
  22. I think the correct terminology is I'll Henniganise it, and flog it on....
  23. Acetates and CD/LP only tracks ok in my opinion - but only if you own the original... Caused myself a bit of a moral quandry as I sold an acetate that I had carvered - the person I sold it to was ok with me still playing it - however they have since sold it on... long and short - no longer play that track anymore.
  24. Got your willy caught in the cash register?* Lewise Bethune will set you back a fair few dubloons. (*Just come into some money?)
  25. Did ok out of My Minds Eye as it's a bit of a goth/rock type store with a few boxes of Soul 45s for good measure... Didn't manage to do Hodads or Record Den as we were knee deep in snow and the car kept getting stuck/skidding around.
