  1. White Lines please.... not the tune, just something to help drown out this nonsense.
  2. you want to watch where you leave your records lying around - that way you'll not break 'em....
  3. A boon... https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/boon
  4. about a tenner. common as muck.
  5. Plain.... it's vinyl as well, which has gotta be a boon.
  6. ? Vee Jay - 70s reissue ?
  7. is the Doll Face 45 on the blue label? I always thought the blue label was an early version of the stax related label, and completely different to the yellow label....
  8. i've got one of each, so it don't make much diff.
  9. Opposite way round Nick... Most copies say Craked... copies that say Cracked are very hard to come by.
  10. I've got this on the plain blue label - can't say I've ever seen a starry copy... whats this un?
  11. I sent you a PM outlining exactly how much i wanted for a 45, including postage and Paypal. Not had a yay or nay yet. So it probably cuts both ways.
  12. mmmmmmm......... scuse the ships cats hair on the scan
  13. Bugger me, we've all got a bit cynical in our old age haven't we? I was going to put on a charity soul night (almost an allnighter but not quite) in aid of the local hospital who cared for my missus' Grandmother when she was absolutely riddled with Cancer. I wasn't going to DJ as I would have been too busy organising the event - so I wouldn't have been 'bigging' up my DJing profile. Every penny made would have gone to the charity. Posts like this make me think why bother....
  14. got a definate original - in near Mint condition - pm me what you're willing to pay for a copy all in (inc Paypal/postage etc) or suggest trade(s) - R&B or decent Northern
  15. I've been outbid on at least four, never bidding quite enough, because I've seen other copies go through, and not taking into account my watchlist for it expired about two years ago. That's where I got my 'handfull' from. The cheapest copy I saw went for just over three hundred - but unfortunately I was completely brassic at the time. Why can't people accept that some of us are sat scanning eBay constantly, so tend to spot every copy of a record that comes up?
  16. Bloody hell Mark, get yourself to the Ships quack quick sharp. Your moods are up and down like a Dockside prossies clouts.
  17. Be there a chance of a label scan afore ye sells it, aharr?
  18. Try here: write a short-ish intro... Who you are, where you are from, favourite sounds etc...
  19. rec. that you put an introduction up so people know who they are dealing with, if you want to sell some 45s...
  20. Tried Ady Croasdell? He had him on at Cleethorpes not too long ago...
  21. Only if your 'tight', otherwise I'm not interested.
  22. Yep, had both of these in the past... Presumably there was enough demand for these records after UK deletion, so some enterprising chap pressed them up. Sound quality is as rough as old mother hunts rough cut punt, if I remember correctly.
  23. yep, with 5 days to go. PEK.
  24. we had two nights in the Watch room... and it cost about the same per night. If your lucky though you can turn up on spec and get the rooms that haven't been booked for a lot less - no choice of room or evening meal included though.
  25. Great when it's empty isn't it - takes on a whole different atmosphere. If anyone wants a 'romantic' break with decent food, then I'd recommend booking a couple of days (it ain't cheap though).
