  1. still is Dave... <----------------------------------
  2. Heard it today whilst driving around and stopped to write the artist / title down. Ian Levine - Eat yer heart out and prick up yer ears.
  3. Longer... don't remember it being any more disco... maybe punchier sound as it's a 12"? Has Gentlemen & Their Ladies "Like Her" on the flip.
  4. Promo only. No sleeve. Theres a few EPs like this about, with different artists/tracks.
  5. sheffields John Vincent must have been one of the first - early 60s at either the Esquire or the Black Cat (can't remember which book has a picture of him in cueing up)
  6. i wouldn't bother... Kieron 'skipped town' having taken payment for loads of records and no-one actually receiving them.
  7. Troubles. Fantastic record. Ian Levine would hate it to his very core.
  8. This record is so bad that it has gone out the other end and become great. She sounds like shes about sixthty and has a better lithsp than Sylvester the cat. Marvellous.
  9. If is got Sue in italics, then yes it sounds like a Canadian issue.
  10. There were loads of them went through eBay last year or the year before - selling for the flip "I'm The man". They were fetching about £8 - £10 at the time - so if they've all dried up, then £20 is probably about right.
  11. Sorry mike already posted a response. As already stated, I'm going to leave it now as I think I could really mentally rip Mr Levines character to shreds, but it would be far too easy, and would make me feel like I'd bullied the fat spoilt only child at school.
  12. No, it will just confirm that you really are a lost cause. Sad really, as people have stated, your depth of knowledge of the history of the scene is probably second to none. You just need to accept that your involvement in it proper, has been less than a quarter of it run - and things change. P.S. FOADY
  13. They are official re-issues by RCA. Never seen a black 60s issue in the flesh so to speak, so they are the next best thing to the 60s demo. Just a friendly warning so that you didn't get your leg lifted by anyone.
  14. That will be the 70s Orange label re-issue that you've seen for that price. An original 60s white demo is going to set you back about £35 - £50 depending on who's selling.
  15. Ian, I genuinely feel pity for you. Mental illness is a terrible thing - especially when it is centred upon bringing destruction upon yourself. I really hope for your sake that you seek help before it is too late. Your deluded and bitter twist on life, the Northern Scene and what you think it owes you, and your relative failures in the world of music can't be good for your mental health, so please get yourself booked in to analysis as soon as you possibly can. No more potshots from me, as I for one don't want to be accused of being the person who tipped you over the edge, if they find your bloated corpse face down in the Thames.
  16. The ones I have are either Bell sound, Nashville matrix or ARP stamped, sometimes a combination of 2 stamps. The Contours boot looks exactly like the issue, but doesn't have any stamps, just lightly etched in numbers, as do presumably all of the other "reissues" that were produced in the early 80s for the U.s. collectors market.
  17. It was a joke about the Chicago copy turning up...
  18. Jokes are never funny once repeated.... Come on Ian, surely you can do better?
  19. Narcism Bingo.... gotta be worth a line?

  21. I wasn't on about me, i was on about everyone else you've tarred with the Nazi brush. Personally I couldn't give a fig what you think about me, but if you hate me, then i know I'm one of the good guys...
  22. And still no sign of Humility. No 'fair enough - perhaps it was a bit harsh' No 'I'm Sorry, if anyone may have been offended by my my likening posts on her to the perpetrators of the Holocaust' Just empty threats from a bitter old Queen. (p.s. sorry if the above comment may offended any members who are Gay.)
