  1. The phrase "Mini Nighter". It's a Soul Night. Accept it.
  2. That's my mate Stan the Stegasaurus fecked for a date then.
  3. Not sure if its the recording - but this sounds different to the Crackerjack issue...
  4. tTo me a mint record should be as it was delivered to the store on it's first day of sale. Once its been sat on a shelf with records been pulled from either side and its moved around in its sleeve (causing very light scuffs) then its mint-. One or two plays to check condition would still qualify as mint- supposing no damage was caused. As soon as its seen a couple of different stylus' then its EX, or VG+(+) in U.S. terms.
  5. Great record.... but... In VG condition, I would be suprised if you got more than $15 for it with the current Sterling/USD exchange rate. Good Luck anyway.
  6. Carefull now - it's his early gritty stuff....
  7. Wonderful Chicago 45, later issue of his Four Brothers cut "Good Company" credited to Tyrone (Wonder Boy). Presumably put out to cash in on his success at Dakar.
  8. I hope it was 7"es and not a 12"er.... Fair makes yer eyes water.
  9. I'm sure it does Ken, But the question was... what's it cost, not how good is it....
  10. I should have got a mint copy somewhere - don't remember selling it - so if you want it, it would be £10 plus postage.
  11. Spot on - never paid more than £20 for one - and that was the Sam & Kitty so that I could complete the run.... Nabay has fetched the most in recent years - over £100 - but that was obviously caused by nut jobs having to get the full set as quickly as possible on eBay. Average price / value is probably a tenner. Demos slightly more.
  12. Scanners playing up so i'll try and get a few more done for you later...
  13. Dave, I'll do you a load when i get back in from work today.
  14. First thing tomorrow, I'm going to contact the curators at each of the big London Museums and tell them that they ought to take photos of all those musty Mummies, Mammoths Teeth and Viking relics and stick the lot in a skip since they are only of value to another collector. I'll be expecting the men in the pale green ambulance with giant butterfly nets around tea-time
  15. Was definately played early to mid nineties - then it came out on the dubious ''UK" Soul Series 45 backed with "Call On Me" - Percy Wiggins. Manships UK guide says 1997, which is probably about right.
  16. He did, but funnily enough they were all kosher... The labels unsold content were picked up in one fell swoop - hence him trying to flog some right old tripe at the same time to no avail.
  17. Every bit of belated fame that she gets is 100% deserved. Thankfully the recognition has happened at a time that it will be of some use to her.
  18. Here's a photo of me around 1976.
  19. Sure i've got a uk demo of this kicking around somewhere - might have to dig it out and sell it...
  20. If you like Ann Sexton and Doris Duke try the following: Sandra Phillips - Too many people in one bed - Canyon Millie Jackson - Caught Up - Spring Millie Jackson - Still Caught Up - Spring Millie Jackson - Free and In Love - Spring Shirley Brown - Woman To Woman - Stax Barbara Mason - Love's The Thing - Buddah
  21. Posts # 403 & # 404. Although one wasnt really an answer, more an advert for current CD.
  22. "I'm Not Built..." was booted - Original is Styrene, boot is Vinyl - probably one of the best boots ever.
  23. "Can You Feel It / Wanted, Dead Or Alive" Just Sunshine JSA-517 Demos had the "Can You Feel It" track both sides.
