  1. This is what happens when the bin-men can't get round due to the snow....
  2. Got this by the Four Tops on Argentinian Tamla Motown
  3. Nice mock up sleeve.
  4. I don't know - the bit where they are lezzing it up looks interesting...
  5. Definately versions with and without girly backing.
  6. are you sure you want it for that particular track???
  7. Came out on an earlier 45 - flip to "The World is Rated 'X' " or some such nonesense... Not sure if its the correct mix though.
  8. Been listening to Hoss?
  9. wouldn't happen to be a London Cabbie would he?
  10. Absolutely 100% issued due to Northern scene demand. If you look around on the net you should be able to find a copy of the sleeve that tells the records story, which went out with the promo copies.
  11. It says OXO on the side of buses, doesn't mean they serve it on board. 1965 is the publishing date - ie the year the tune was written and submitted for future royalties - not the year the record was made or even recorded.
  12. I'm going to scrap a knackered old Fiesta, do I send Henry Ford a fiver?
  13. How many demo copies are pressed of a 45? Exactly how many Radio stations were operating in the U.S. at the time? Who else would have received promo's? 1000 copies sounds a lot to me - wouldn't they try it on the local market before commiting to a national push? - this was an unknown artist, not a Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder. Both 'known' copies came from people related to Motown in a roundabout way - and no copies have been found 'in the wild', which surely points to any addition copies pressed being destroyed?

Used to play it at "Brighton Beach" in the late 90s, as an alternative to the Timebox. You used to be able to pick it up out of Goldmine/Beatin Rhythm for three quid a pop.
  15. Had some offers on this - will let the successful buyer know after 8pm tonight - up until then it's still open for offers.
  16. Got another one for sale... Come on, don't be shy folks.
  17. The phrase "Mini Nighter". It's a Soul Night. Accept it.
  18. That's my mate Stan the Stegasaurus fecked for a date then.

Not sure if its the recording - but this sounds different to the Crackerjack issue...
  20. tTo me a mint record should be as it was delivered to the store on it's first day of sale. Once its been sat on a shelf with records been pulled from either side and its moved around in its sleeve (causing very light scuffs) then its mint-. One or two plays to check condition would still qualify as mint- supposing no damage was caused. As soon as its seen a couple of different stylus' then its EX, or VG+(+) in U.S. terms.
  21. Great record.... but... In VG condition, I would be suprised if you got more than $15 for it with the current Sterling/USD exchange rate. Good Luck anyway.
  22. Wonderful Chicago 45, later issue of his Four Brothers cut "Good Company" credited to Tyrone (Wonder Boy). Presumably put out to cash in on his success at Dakar.
  23. I hope it was 7"es and not a 12"er.... Fair makes yer eyes water.
  24. I'm sure it does Ken, But the question was... what's it cost, not how good is it....
