A couple of flowers I took on Cockfield Fell which is about a mile and a half from where I live. Both flowers are miniature as they are subject to sheep grazing/rabbits and the windswept wild weather. Heath Milkwort and Lousewort. Lousewort is a parasitic plant which feeds on other plants such as heather and lichen 20150628_202402.jpg 20150614_155544.jpg 20150614_155536.jpg 20150606_171630.jpg

A few photos from recent trips out where I live in Teesdale. Pyramidal Bugle flower and Cowslips (they must have had a hard frost as been a great show of cowslips this year frost in the soil helps them germinate). Water Avens all taken along Tees Railway Walk last Sunday. I was surprised by the lack of flora at this point, but I think it is because we are still getting frosts and occasionally snow

Our bird feeders are fine, we get jackdaws, magpies and jays as corvid members visiting the garden, yet still we get a large number of garden birds. We have a suet ball feeder, meal worm feeder and wildbird seed feeder
