Beg to differ, I live 4 mile from one of the coldest spots in the UK. A village called Woodland in County Durham, for example on 23 July 1986 when the Duke and Duchess of York got married Woodland was cut off with snow (seriously no lies here). Its about 1500ft above sea level. Another place famous for its cold/snowy conditions is Tow Law in County Durham aka the frozen wastes, which still commands lots of snow, believe me global warming aint reached them places. Suz x

Im afraid I have to concede Im a practising piss artist also, two bottles of red wine later and I'm I'm on holiday for 2 weeks so no driving tomorrow, hurray. I try to go out as much as possible to soul dos, apart from Thorne at the weekend I hadn't been out for 4 weeks, a mixture of my car needing fixing and t'other week when I wantd to go to Soul Addiction at Coachman in Darlington (which incidentally is class) I had no one to come with me . Have had records wrapped in newspaper then enveloped, normally from USA. Also had one mailed in a music from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers LP cover !!! I have been lucky in that the records have always been well wrapped and protected whatever they are sent in. Suz x

Joan I went to Lowton last month and I loved the DDA. I love to hear music I don't know, were a few that I knew in the DDA/a few I didn't know I think it was half and half. I thought it was class, I am never put off either by how many people are in the rooms. Couldn't care less overall personally whether there are 500 or 20 in the room (I know it matters to the organiser/the person/peeps who are runnin the venue). I know it seems to matter to a lot of punters too which is a shame. I am more bothered about what the music is like in the place, I like to hear 60s and 70s music that I don't know or don't hear much. I also like plenty of friendly folks to talk to and there were plenty at DDA/Lowton. I will certainly be back. I've been really lucky this year I haven't been to a soul do I haven't enjoyed. Suz x
