  1. Soul Brothers Six "I'll Be Loving You" sounds completely different on the "Getting' To Me" CD (Not alternate, I know, but if you played it back to back with the 45, you'd swear they were different)
  2. So are we saying ALL copies of 169 have the "kiss" lyric or just some??
  3. Just had a listen on Youtube, I know why I got shot of it, and kept the one with *Earthquake"

  5. It came out twice with different flips....
  6. Sorry to be pedantic but Connie Van Dyke is not Connie Clark, that is Chris Clark!
  7. Indeed Raynoma Gordy had "My Guy" pressed when it was a hit
  8. Sometimes, if a record looked like hitting in other territories, I guess there would be a rush to get product out to market, hence different plants used, and label variations down to blanks running out etc.
  9. As late as 1990 you could still buy this off the stall in Berwick Street for £1.50, I must've bought dozens, god knows how many Tony Rounce, Ady C, had and traded over the years they were working there?

  14. Think 5th Dimension "Up,Up and Away" or, anything by The Association for a typical sunshine pop sound.
  15. Great record but I wouldn't call it "sunshine pop"
  16. It was a brief Keb spin, before he retired first time

  18. Yer a good lad an' all!!, it's my birthday on Sunday s well!!
  19. From Out Of Nowhere - Tangerine - clean labels etc!
  20. Unfortunately, because the Verve sampled Andrew Loog Oldham instrumental version and the publishing being owned by Allen Kliein, Jagger / Richard didn't get any royalties from that, swing and roundabouts?
  21. Stuff like this is easy to check, given the amount of knowledge on here, Bobby Womack nicked the riff of Satisfaction for his "Nothing You Can Do" on HIM, no one seems to mind that? It's a simplistic assumption to state British groups ripped off tunes, there's more to it than that.
  22. Not enough to wipe from my memory!
