  1. With you 100% Pete, Up there with "Thumb A Ride" for me.
  2. I cleared out Martin Koppel of this (HR, that is) back in 88, 25 or 30 copies i think $1.75 each Ady C. was playing it c/u at the 100, sold them all at the 100 for £30 each all one night, ah good times
  3. Yes, nice record
  4. It also came out on light blue original and a light blue boot!
  5. Has it turned up?
  6. Pat played the Padded Cell version.. This version was played by Dave Thorley, not Keb
  7. Woo, the stuff that came out of Jims.. there's some tales there too...
  8. I'll dig it out to play at Burnley on the 24th (plug, plug)
  9. So are the copies that aren't cracked, heat warped Joking aside Peoples has a good rep and he sells as they are, this batch of records look poor by anyones standard but, he does point this out warts an all, the prices should be for mint copies IMO
  10. You win some, some you lose, you got some killers out of Andy Spencers stuff I missed great prices back then mate.
  11. . Yes, always thought it would have it's time in the sun, maybe that time is now.
  12. Connie Tanzell and the"L" Trays was around in small quantity in the late 80's, Soul Bowl had some, paid 25 for it I think
  13. Sold my Tobbi Bowe a couple of years back for 750(bought from Ted M back in the 80's for 125), so it's not really a bargain, sure it's rare as hens teeth, but it's a cult record and the demand is more from collectors than dancers. I always rated "Groovy Feeling" alas that never got much response either.
  14. Got it's first outings c/u as Jimmy Conwell "Love is a Losing Game" via Dave Raistrick '78/79.
  15. It's Greek, hence being known as the "Delta" numbering system.
  16. That's my copy, still got it too.
  17. Well Chalks, far be it from me to disagree with R'n'B indies, but on style & recording I can't believe it, I'm sure I had a Spiedels stamped with a '66 date, also my Empires had a "Chips" sticker on it, I've never seen one on anything as early as 62-63 ??
  18. Modern tailor-made surely?
  19. "What About The Music" inst.?
  20. Matadors is at least 1965, so is the Empires on Candi, I'd like to see proof they are as early as '63.
  21. Spray mount is what I'd use, available from most art shops.
  22. Butch's old Tobi Lark C/U, miles better than Ward Burton which should've been used for clay pigeon shooting.
  23. That was Jah Tubby Sound in Broadway Market E.8, been gone a long, long time, I used to go there along with Pete Lawson to get stuff cut, he may well have sold to Brum, most of his customers were from there. Music House at that time (mid to late 80's) was located in Finsbury Park, just upfrom the station, it moved to Holloway (handy for Keb) in the 90's.
  24. Guy played the copy that Barrie Waddington had.
  25. Yes there was a white Monarch test press that was done when it was booted.
