  1. Bought it off Keb years ago, monarch delta puts it at 66, it is a demo?
  2. Just on multi an vinyl tho?, I've got a 66 styrene one, paid 25 whats the story?
  3. Seen "Stronger Than Your Love" on Ebay at $650, why?? Somebody been caught with their snipe, can't be more than a ton surely?
  4. I'm sure Popcorn said it was the same person (He wrote "Is It a Sin")
  5. After Ion tried before him, and don't forget Keb playing most of the then known ones, Nick started collecting them after this point.
  6. Anyone had the Palmer issue? Sure these demos have turned up, super rare for years now there's one every couple of months for the last 2 years at least.
  7. Nick didn't have the full set, didn't have JD, Cavaliers, Counts, Prophets, Bill Dennis.
  8. Isn't the text silver as opposed to black as well?
  9. That is on Seton, "You're My Man" on the flip
  10. Duncan Morris had a vinyl Shledon which Mick Smith had at one stage, I've had an International acetate for about 15 years.
  11. I'm sure the licensing deal between US Sue and the UK label bearing it's name was a bit grey after the first 3 or 2 Inez & Charlie Foxx releases, initially a UK outlet for US Sue records it soon was releasing records that had been made popular by Guy Stevens at the Scene club, I would be surprised if Thelma were aware or much bothered by the release of Joe Matthews unless it had been a hit over here.
  12. Indeed it was Mark, I remember us both skidding down to the floor to this one!
  13. It's quite a hard side for a Sue release, due no doubt to coming late to the label's folding (68-69), never got much turntable time, found a couple in junk shops in London, but never found it stateside. See you in Valencia
  14. After the sessions that produced both sides of the 45's he recorded, Junior on a newly aquired motorbike was giving Charles Spurling a lift across town he suddenly cried out he couldn't see, Charles grabbed the handlebars avioding an accident, taken to hospital Junior was diagnosed with a brain tumour and died shortly after aged 24, the single was then withdrawn from release ( this info lifted from Ady's notes on King Northern Soul: Kent 185)
  15. Last release on Karen records, was a £15 for years, don't think you'd get one for less than 300 now
  16. Pat didn't have play it at Wigan, deffo a Stafford tune, so rare too.
  17. How odd my Lynn Vernado has a crack in it as well, still plays though! Cracked a Jock mitchell, Knights on USA and sat on Miracle Wlkers on Scam, clumsy sod!
  18. Jim Wensiora had Admirations which went to Keb then Carl Fortnum.
  19. Yes, but 500 seems a tad high for it
  20. I'd be surprised if it existed, Al Williams and James Shorter were both RCA custom pressed at the same time, all the later La Beat Lester Tipton included were Nashville Matrix jobs none of which were demo'd
  21. My copy is fine too, I'd be suprised if BASF would've released a poorly mastered/pressed record as they were probably selling their expertise rather than pushing the artistes.
  22. Harry Man, how you doin'? Great if hazy memories of Shotts, remember Edwins' on where Pete wouldn't sell anything, he sold me a Jock Mitchell that night, irony maybe
