  2. Where you could buy mint unplayed store stock of Fab Apollos "Some Good...." as mentioned in other thread for £3.
  3. What about the Ray Pollard it's even worse, these people must've had their brains removed!
  4. Try selling it and see! Didn't Kitch sell one a while back? Never heard it played out much at all, prefer the Conquistadors "Can't Stop Lovin' You" myself, both seem to be hard these days.
  5. No it's just not as rare as some of the other releases.
  6. Being that there were at least 3 different chicago pressings, would suggest it sold well enough locally to tempt Wand into releasing it, why they never went beyond demo stage is probably the same reason why a lot regional "hits" picked up by fairly big labels faltered, mob money, tax write-off, or lack of funds.
  7. Nor mine....vinyl not styrene.....
  8. I'm in agreement with you there Rod, the only "Oldies" that Rob was into was rare soul and whatever 60's newies were called before they were thus named! Mind you he did love classic stompers..is that another thread.

  16. The Terri Day "I So Glad" is quite hard, I paid 25 for it off Soul Bowl when the average price for every else was 8, Romey Rand was 12 I think, this was back in 84 or 85, the Jackie & Tonnetts was one of the hardest until a few turned up on ebay, it was'nt even listed in Collectors Guide to Detroit back in the mid-80's which leads me to believe the many missing numbers might eventually be filled.
  17. Don't think I've heard the Hesitations, think it may be one of the duplicate numbers (on a red label??), Romey Rand anywhere between £75-£150 i would've thought.
  18. The Marco Hammon 45 is OK as are the Don Hearts in an early Detroit style, the Chuck Hently is good too, though I've never managed to pick one up most were made available on "Dancing In D-Town"/"Wheelsville Wonders" goldmine cds some years back.
  19. Is It Wrong, surely?
  20. Was played c/u by Butch for going on 10 years.
  21. No mate, seems to have disapeared completely, the last time I saw him, he seemed to have had a total change of lifestyle!
  22. I got mine from Butch back in the 80's, one night Rob Marriott was round playing me some new stuff including CB, it then became Rocky Roberts and was played as that by Rob, myself & Saus when he got hold of it, incidently I traded it back to Butch a couple of years ago, maybe the one you have is my old copy?
  23. No mine came from Chicago nearly 20 years ago, not long after Duncan Morris got it off Tim Ashibende.
  24. White label test press with just the number written on the label?
