  1. They used to have Northern nights there years back Brian Rae used to run 'em (I think).
  2. Just to add the Tyrone Thomas re-recording is crap, and I support Richard regarding the other matter.
  3. Surely it's accepted the Golden Triangle version is the last version coinciding with the Angela Davis LP, which also includes the Tyrone Thomas re-recording of "Baby, Can't You See". As stated before I prefer the CP distributed version avec girls, for me it just adds the X factor to the song, which just sounds a bit bland without them.
  4. How much for an issue all the copies mentioned seem to be demos?
  5. Sound clip of Jimmy Washington anywhere, sounds familiar can't place it?
  6. I agree Pete but to infer that Tobbi Bowe was a cheap record then is not correct it has always been 100 times harder than Mamie Lee (which until about 5 years ago was a £3 record every day of the week, if you could sell it!)
  7. Also The Brooks Brothers for £5 and The Fantasions GI Joe for something similar, these were not the going rates for these records at the time Domar was all over the place with his pricing then.
  8. Well, in my experience it was going for more than £8 in 1991.
  9. I sold a copy a couple of years back for 750, right person right time I suppose, The labels were the correct way around in fact all the copies I've seen are. Has any one actually seen it with reversed label or are we getting mixed up with Servicemen? I used to play the "Groovy Feeling" side too. I bought it off Ted as stated above
  10. Never heard of a pic sleeve for this Any chance of a pic?
  11. They are nothing to do with Lorraine or Eddie, The Sunlovers were a west coast outfit recording for the Breakthrough and Mutt & Jeff labels, the Aliza release is a Simon Soussan bootleg of the Breakthrough release which was briefly covered-up as Eddie Parker. Hi Lorraine, It's great having you on board
  12. There was one of these that went through ebay the other week at what I thought was a low price of £129, with a compliment sticker from a funeral home!
  13. The D.P.G. stands for Deal, Perkins, Guess, they were the label owners.
  14. Surely someone on here has some old echoes or BlackBeats with playlists containing these songs that'd narrow the dates down. I remember Angel Doll being played as Edward Hamilton & Arabians, I got a cut of it off Ady Pountain with Lonely Lover on the flip.
  15. I remember different versions of the title, always remember it as Gladys and her voice is so distinctive....
  16. I remember this coming out too as I spent a lot of time in the company of unsaid person, also on this album were tracks not mentioned yet like the Creations "Say, Say Baby"
  17. Ted Massey has this record, or at least he did?
