  1. Thats at least 3 Millage releases with the same mortuary stamp, creepy!!
  2. I was offered 500 for Keith Curtiss which I turned down, think "Qunivy" Phil, got a good price for his copy?
  3. Kelly St. Clair complements of a mortuary? same deal with Four Reputations (can't find pic at the moment), not the best distribution deal I would've thought?
  4. Diane Lewis wasn't a NY recording as far as I know, wasn't just leased in?
  5. Other song is a version of Diane Lewis "Without Your Love" on Wand, same backing track, no backing vocals, could be an earlier vocal take.
  6. Would they be able to "read" a record graded at VG+?
  7. I still think they are different vocal tracks and there is more instrumentation on the Marvellous Ray, could be added onto the master, anyone else?
  8. That was me Pete, are you sure they are the same?. Must admit it's a long time since I had MR (also from Lou Silvani), I'm sure the Pat Smith sounds more like a demo run through??
  9. Yeh, I remember that, thought he had "Whirlpool" too? From Billy Kennedy I think?, some other good stuff came out of that haul.
  10. Robb, The two Pat Smith sides were put out on a Goldmine "Thelma" CD, "Whirlpool" being the original of Marvelous Ray on Abner, it's on Youtube not sure how to Embed. < >
  11. Hi Andy, hope you're well mate, never seen IWBYG as a demo, or heard of it, unless someone on here knows different?
  12. I wonder how close "Peace Loving Man" came to a UK release, it was advertised as an new import in Rhythm and Blues monthly in 1966! My all-time favourite label, just need the Alberta Adams for a complete run.
  13. <https://www.globaldogproductions.info/r/reo-ca-8000-series.html> There you go mate, lots of good stuff on it.
  14. I got a mint one of these in Reo sleeve off Martin Koppel about 20 years ago, yours is only the 2nd one I've seen since.
  15. Resale Price Maintenance (price fixing) was abolished in 1964, and replaced by a recommended resale price, this it self gradually broke down by 1969.
  16. Look forward to this as the Sept Jones was ma-a-a-gic!
  17. A mint minus one from Belgium sneaked through ebay about 6 years ago at between $3-400, the bid winner was a funkadelic collector and I was the only other bidder
  18. The matrix numbers on Freddy & Silky run in sequence so it a safe bet, I've always thought so anyway.
