  1. It’s got none of the hallmarks you associate with Detroit records ie the Impact Volumes 45’s, I always thought it was New York like the majority of Twirl / Embee product?
  2. Mine has no artist either, never noticed for years...
  3. I remember him getting Cairo’s he brought it along to The Thursday night do I ran in London, c/u Precisions and Al Williams the other side, I preferred the Don’t Fight It side, much to Kebs annoyance, but when he played it at Stafford we were on the floor for both!
  4. Where did you copy of LNS, go to as I also had Kebs old copy complete with cue burn on the “You Said”side? Bets wishes Tony
  5. You guys need to get this out fully documented as time is running out with every year!
  6. How have you managed that Rod, I’ve been in touch with the pressing plant and they can’t tell me anything?
  7. The MCA repress had the same fault, so I think it’s not down to stampers/ and pressing plants a flawed master recording, unlike the copy Ady C. found which has a different vocal take and much better mix
  8. The club was at Silver Street in Edmonton, it came about as the Dance Club cancelled earlier that day and left Ion & Sean with hours to find a club, they hired mini buses to take people from the strand....
  9. Actually Rob, it was me with the Cecil Washington! I DJd at the Heaven All-dayer, that was a strange one for sure.... International Dance Club was Ion & Sean McKlusky with myself bankrolling the alcoholic beverages (which I must say saw a very healthy and quick return on my outlay!) The working mens club was just off Kentish Town if it's the one Im thinking off (I DJd there as well) I semm to remember it being run by a guy claiming to be George Mellys "bastard" son (not my words) can't remember his name but he bought loads of records off Randy when he sold his northern stuff. Yes the Wessex Suite was great while it lasted also!
  10. That was Robs Do wasn’t it Polyvelts.... great handful of nights there, even if the students got in the way of the dancing and stuff!
  11. The first one was at the Alma, then the Blueberry Bar in Shoreditch, then North Bar, the last one was at Scolt Arms
  12. Hursty drove me home, .....I was very...very... drunk
  13. Keb did the Rosemary Branch also one further down Southgate Road
  14. Yes I ran it, you Guys were my regular guests, Paul used to ring me me saying he was sick then go to the Phoenix, Gene R also was a regular guest DJ
  15. Yes mate, though I did that pretty much by myself
  16. Myself and Ion ran quite a lot of nights at various venues around central London mid to late 80's including: Sols Arms, Penny Black, Metropolitan, and several more I cant remember!!
