The 1961 HMV release is first, it has the United Artists logo on the label, as it was part of a "United Artists" series, before EMI started it's UA imprint which began in August 1962. The 2nd UK release was on Sue in 1966.

The best thing was when he sold up the prices were very reasonable, off the top of my head: Frank Beverly-Because of My Heart- 75 Barbara Acklin-Special Agent- 75 Deadbeats - Strata -100 Melvin Davis - Wheel City - 125 Limelights - Uncle - 150 Romona Collins - Clarks -35 Johnny Hampton - Dotty's - 75 Plus there was tons of good semi knowns for 25 and under!

Actually I had it c/u as Dave Charles and I had it before Butch as well, It first came from Martin Koppel then young Nick Brown turned up a few copies, I grabbed a spare from there and played it uncovered, Ady Croasdell & Butch got it shortly after.

I don't think Brand New Faces is particularly rare it used to be around a lot at £8 if you could find someone willing to part with the money Jimmy Burns and Bobby James for me every time. in that order.

What great memories! as an apprentice platemaker in 81 I had Soul Bowls lists sent to my work and got in for the post to drop around 8.15 there'd be barely time to look before I'd start dialling, sometimes I'd dial before I'd even got the staple out, always got something, those really were the days!
