  1. The 1961 HMV release is first, it has the United Artists logo on the label, as it was part of a "United Artists" series, before EMI started it's UA imprint which began in August 1962. The 2nd UK release was on Sue in 1966.
  2. It probably was the first time out at Blackburn I would've been there too, not the UK though as I'd played it at the 100 Club.
  3. 4. Actually I had it c/u as Dave Charles and I had it before Butch as well, It first came from Martin Koppel then young Nick Brown turned up a few copies, I grabbed a spare from there and played it uncovered, Ady Croasdell & Butch got it shortly after.
  5. Looking at that list don't remember Jim having Dave Charles?

  7. Roger Stewart had it.
  8. Jim played Ted Wilson on Sierra for a while (wasn't first with it though) He had stuff like Limelights-Uncle, Barbara Acklin-Special Agent too.
  9. I thought the "I Won't Believe It" unissued was an Ady Croasdell first from when he was putting out the Shrine stuff with Eddie Singleton?

  20. Should be in everyones bottom 10!
  21. I don't think Brand New Faces is particularly rare it used to be around a lot at £8 if you could find someone willing to part with the money Jimmy Burns and Bobby James for me every time. in that order.
  22. Willie and The Handjives had been a big record for Ady, before Sooty started playing it and I definitely heard it played elsewhere too!

  24. What great memories! as an apprentice platemaker in 81 I had Soul Bowls lists sent to my work and got in for the post to drop around 8.15 there'd be barely time to look before I'd start dialling, sometimes I'd dial before I'd even got the staple out, always got something, those really were the days!
  25. A Samuel M Kahn was listed in Billboard under Music Makers Network of Wilmington NC as late as 1972, wonder if it's the same?
