  2. Rare or not, I was offered one about 10 years ago, didn't like it then and don't now, still soounds average to me, nice looking label that's about it for me!
  3. Wasn't it played towards the end of wigan but, didn't take off??? Who are you mystery poster???
  4. Butch's Gerald Sims & The Breeze C/U "Goodbye Sadness" TOP TUNE!!!!
  5. The Cautions "No Other Way" briefly spun at Wigan C/U as The Belairs around the same time as Cobblestone, Also Young Bros. also played towards the end of Wigan C/U as Experienced Heartmenders! Sandy Golden was a spin for Ion for quite a few years before Rob Marriott got it off him!
  6. I wish I'd been there when Gene R. bought a round!
  7. These were probably the copies that Tim Ash turned up back in '85/'86, going rate then anywhere between 30-50 quid (cash or, postal orders only please!)
  8. I read Jimmy Jnrs request, and thought what with the school hols and all that, some kind soul would like to come around my house while my wife is out and teach me some moves, I've got a few records on original labels, some are a bit slow, some are quite fast, there is a laminated floor which would be just right to practise on. GIRLS ONLY NEED APPLY!
  9. When did this become a three figure record then?, used to be common and cheap!!
  10. Yeah, Keb played both at Stafford, "Keep a Hold On" being the same as Diane Lewis, both were unissued Musicor.
  11. Someone mentioned they'd picked one up at a soul nite over on Soul Talk, I noticed some Kent trax on it, told Ady, he asked me to see what I could find out.
  12. Obviously it's a boot CD, I'm trying to find out who's done it, all info gratefully recieved, keep your eyes peeled for me, Thanks

  14. Patrinell Staten-"Little Love Affair"-Sepia, Butchs' Jean Carter -"I Wanna Know", The Saints as played by Butch and Arthur Fenn...
  15. 'Ows about Johnny James "Tell You About MyGirl"-guys and girls???
  16. I must say it looks totally unconvincing!, I've much better fakes. Even the smallest studios used a label, whether the details were then handwritten or, typed on. White label test pressings a different kettle, I've seen them written, typed and in the case of Betty LLoyd stuck on kidnap letter style! Stay away from this one!
  17. Not all found in the last week (obviously!) Ray Agee £75 Monique "If You Love Me"£35 Martha Star "Love is..." £20 Billy Kennedy demo £15 Mark Loyd-Parlophone 50p in bookshop in Howarth, later sold to Mick Smith for slightly more! Harry Starr-End £6 at Bradford and plenty more I missed
  18. F**k me can it really be 11 years??? I, along with so many overs owe so much to Pete, even if at times he could leave your nerves in shreds! I've so many memories of Pete and probally not a day goes by where I don't find a record sleeve with some mammoth rant or, sales spiel scrawled all over it! Years ago when I was still living with my mum, I came home from work to hear her chatting away in the kitchen to find Pete tucking in to egg & chips after turning up unannounced! And of Fred! the time he sellotaped a toy cat to the window and convinced his nan it was Fred. Too many things I can think of I can't repeat here too! Still miss you mate Tony
