A rare UK only production of the Al Wilson tune, possibly by US service men (GI's).

This is a nice modern R'N B tune deserving of some action. Not particularly rare, but obscure enough to bring to folks attention.

Social activist record, funky blue eyed Soule!

  6. From the album: Rare UK Soul Releases

Tony Cummings the former Black Music writer (now a gospel radio producer) co wrote and produced this early 70's disco dancer that found favour at Blackpool. Tony recently appeared on Radio Stokes Mary Fox show.

Another nice late 70T's production, worth checking out the charity shops. A side is a sad pop disco outing. Easily overlooked.

Chris Bartley recently deceased (according to soul-source) A nice plodder released on late great Dave Godin's short lived Right On venture.

This is actually the flip of an unrelated pop/disco record by Daybreak. This is a beautifully produced and sung crossover record, maybe UK only. By the way Bobby is no relation to the late Doug of the same surname, who starred in the western TV series "the Virginian" in the 60T's and many half baked "lost world" B movies in the & 70T's - as paradied by Troy McClure of the Simpsons.

I loved it when "Min" played this at the Torch in the pre allnighter days. Very evocative 60T's tune.

R N'B tune from Ray Charles backing group.

Mod Tune. Played at the Wheel I believe. This issue kicked off Chris Blackwell's mid 60T's re launched Pink Island lable. B side has covers The Angelo's Incence.
  13. From the album: Rare UK Soul Releases

Southern produced vocal version of the classic Al Kent instrumental.
