  1. I bought a copy from Goldmine about seven years ago for £15, more on the grounds that it looked obscure rather than a having a great liking for the tune. The strange feature being the fact that the bands name appears to be stamped on with a rubber stamp. Can't say that I'm particularly enamoured with tune as its a funky little number and probably a tricky dancer to boot. I have put it on several CD's for folks over the intervening years, the track passing off without comment. One was posted on Ebay last week with a asking price of £450, needless to say it didn't have any takers. Does anyone know if there's anything else on this label ? Some images at : https://www.popsike.c...0586323238.html Thanks for the info all. Mick PS how can I embed a Youtube web link into a post on the source?
  2. Double Dee "Found love" was a big Sasha Tune at Shelly's Laser Dome, Longton, Stoke in early 90T's. Definitely Italian Rave, unfortunately I doubt if it would find any favour on the Northern scene, happy tune for happy feet though. Fond memories. Mick
  3. Does anyone know the crack with this funky cross over tune? A few copies appear to have gone for big money on Ebay (ref Popsike). I know that a few years ago it was relatively cheap in boxes around nighters. Info appreciated. Thanks Mick
  4. Having just come across Lou Johnson's unreleased version of the Roy Hamilton classic by accident on Youtube, I thought that it might be worth another Mention on Soul Source, since others might have missed it. Now I'm not sure of the protocol regarding Youtube clips on the source, so I apologise in advance for any offence. Having done a search on the source, I know that has been covered before, but the sound file is unavailable through refosoul. This video can be accessed by clicking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2LXjdExxHQ. If you haven't heard this before, enjoy! Best Mick P.S> Hope it doesn't get pulled
  5. I think that the seller ought to have been a little more frank with the description. Granted that its a nice looking boot, but it is fairly easy to check on authenticity. However I suppose not everyone lived through the Wigan era when top tunes were being booted weekly. Mick
  6. Can't believe that the "The Magicians - Sweet Magic" , AKA Servicemen 1970's bootleg on Hitmaker, just went for £137.00 ,on Ebay .
  7. It would be great if anyone had 4 each of US Stax and Volt records, company sleeves. Please let me know price and quantity by private message. Thanks for viewing. Mick
  8. Yep. it's a well known aberration: Quote from Wikipedia : Signed to the soul-oriented Stax Records label in the United States, Zavaroni did not make much of a chart impact Stateside despite the praise and television appearances, as her Ma album failed to chart and its title single made it only to #91 on the Billboard Hot 100 Mick
  9. That would be much appreciated. Mick
  10. Hey there Do you have any more info on this CD or any other ? I've a vague recollection that a CD matching this description was available from Goldmine, but i've never been able to turn it up. Thanks Mick
  11. Help wanted! Has there been a various artists CD released, with content of rare Northern Soul, sourced and compiled exclusively from rare album only tracks? I would be great full for any feedback. Best Mick

  17. Some great tracks have come to light on this thread. try this Swiss Movement "The Grass is Greener", the album comes with the excellent pedigree of David Van dePitt's production. Also check out "come round here" I must say that the Gladys Knight track from Feelin Bluesy escaped me, despite owning it, so soulful:
