RE:Jasmine Kara "Ain't No More Room" Thought I'd revive this, as I caught "ain't no more room" on Wogan today. Half decent pop effort, was surprised to hear it on teh radio. https://swedishstereo.blogspot.com/2012/01/jasmine-kara-aint-no-more-room.html The Original of course:

Anyone interested (all bought in 70's, one owner) click here

Is When we get there really popular enough to warrant a pressing? I picked up a black UK copy just about 10 years ago for a tenner, cause nobody was interested in the blue eyed soul. For the record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILw9_VXCtxE By the way anyone after Carl Douglas on OOTP?
  8. Gwan then..address to follow
  9. Re:Chubby & the Turnpikes Hope you find this Sonny Sanders production relevant to this thread: The Turnpikes "Cast A Spell": Having watched the price climb I've bid on it a few times without success. Is it big on anyone's playlist? Thanks Mick
  10. William Bell "Any Other Way", video says that this is an out take, doesn't state the provenance though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USDpv1ba2BE Of course the well known version is Jackie Shane's beautiful Sue rendering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caC0H3c7kn0
  11. Get Down With It - and the club went wild! Harsh comment indeed, but possibly more a club tune. For those old enough to recall, a real floorshaker at The Torch and The Wheel in its day, before Dave Godin coined "Northern Soul" as a definitive description of music on the soul club scene. Not played in the 70's I think cause Slade had the hit with it. Best regards Mick
  12. Album track I know, but I've always liked this instrumental from the Les McCann Plays the Hits album:
  13. As I recall he kept the Ritz floor pretty busy back then. Where would the scene be without both "Characters" and "Scams" ? The punters will be the judge, good luck to the fella. Mick
  14. Carla Thomas:Memphis Queen LP Track: Precious Memories:
  15. My kinda tune. Nice One
  16. I know that Soulsource are not the record police but it would be great if this thread could occupy a permanent place on the forum. Hopefully members would continue to expose unscrupulous dealers. As it happens I've been selling off my boots bought in the early 70's at a time when I had bugger all knowledge about the originals. Unfortunately I've only got peanuts for em, as they're advertised as such. Thanks for posting. Best Mick
  17. Don't know what folks make of this record recently picked up as a Argentinan 33RPM 7". Lyn Roman "Unchained" Dot Records:

  19. I'd be great full if anyone could advise me how to attache a Divishare or Youtube hyper link to an Ebay sale item. Thanks in advance. Mick
