  1. i think its a super tune, sounds like a live performance. Tried to read all the thread, but didn't pick up on anything about the artist. Sorry if I missed someone mentioning the singers origin, if not I was wondering wether there's any connection possible with Blind Billy Tate, who recorded piano boogie in the early 50's with Peacock and Herald. Nice thread Mick
  2. Not that I actually have this in the box (I wish) I was wondering what folks make of it. The song and the vocal are great, but is this boss a nova beat, much to do with N.soul? Lately prices are on the up. A great tune, though no doubt:DAVID COLEMAN Drown My Heart BARRY :
  3. I think there;s a few interpretations of this, one of which is Maximillian's You'd Better on Magic Circle Think this was a Stafford play, bit rockabilly but nice all the same:
  4. Great stuff thanks for sharing. Shame Smoothie Pie isn't on the MP3 LP though. Mick
  5. Lovely lilting crossover, nice arrangement but a little off key on the vocal, very nice tho'. What's the story behind this one? I assume its a contemporary production? TFS Mick

  12. In view of the passing of Frank Wilson, I wondered whether folks would like to share thoughts on his musical legacy over the decades. Here's to kick off: Edwin Starr's take on "Born to be Bad": Mavis Staples "Chained": Thanks Frank.

  16. The last few picks have been fantastic guys. This ones 70's bouncy beach music:The Seventh of May~Boy,Am I Happy Anglo has this track valued fairly highly, though recent Popsike listed sales are for quite modest prices. https://www.popsike.c...tord=&x=19&y=10 That is unless Anglo are valuing it as a misspelling: https://www.raresoulv...=SEVENTH OF NAY Anyway picked up a copy for fifteen quid on the bay yesterday.
