As they say on QI, apparently "nobody knows!" If memory serves isn't there a Green Gator release with a different B/W to Funky Twist? Might be rarer but the alternative mix is not as punchy for me as the fabulous Green label version.: Top tune anyway though.

Floor filler back then and now. I'm not into oldies but I simply can't understand why anyone would take issue with such a beautifully produced piece. A classic by any measure, in my book. Lovin' by the pound, also appeared on Kent's stunning "Do the Crossover" CD from 1993. Both this and "Let's Crossover Again" were fabulous sets,despite their cheesy names, containing rare and unreleased Stax/Volt group tracks. Bout time Adey got his finger out and "Crossed Over Again,Again" (please). Loads of stuff they could put out on them,including the wonderfully throbbing "Blues in the night". Does anyone know the buyer "megocharge " on ebay. This person bought something from me on 25/09 (6 bids) without paying, or answeringany of my many messages. This was not an expensive item, what's annoying is that they have had more recent feedback as a fast payer. If someone has got the guts to appolgise or ask for time, I'm OK with that. Anyone else had problems with this customer?

There was also an album released off the back of the US Hanna Barbera Saturday morning Harlem Globetrotters,TV seriesfrom 1971.This was the first cartoon show to feature an entirely Afro - American cast of characters. The series was produced by US entertainment empresario Don Kirshner who produced and released the album, which despite songs penned by J R Bailey and Rudy Clark, has no savings graces IMO , consisting of total bubblegum pop. I would say £50 for the original and half that for the re-issue. Value seems to have fallen off over recent times, a bit of a tricky dancer for middle aged soulies, methinks. From recollection wasn't the picture sleeve 45 cut as a limited Edition as a free bee at some US Motown promotional event back in the early 1990's? There was a story doing the rounds that many of them were just discarded by the attendees at the time, as the folks weren't interested in the vinyl. Or was this just urban myth?

FYI I was recently the subject of a rather objectionable e mail, threatening me with legal action for just linking "Bootlegs and Re-issues" together in the title of an on line photo collection, of 45 record scans. It made me realise how dangerous it can be referring to a series of records as "bootlegs" without any material evidence.

Picked a vg copy up earlier this year for $10 - didn't realise it was so collectable. It was amongst an auction of top northern tunes where all the bidding was concentrated.
